i saw your pix of bcv, were staying there in May pls. tell me about the villas, what room and view should i request, i would like a non smoking-big balcony but that's all i know? did you use the on site store? what did they have, did you utilize the rest. on site? thanks for any help
I requested a view of Epcot, but unfortunately, it wasn't available. A upper floor on the side that has Epcot views will allow you to see the fireworks from Illuminations right from your balcony.
Our balcony had a view of the garden and the main entrance area. Nothing great, but not bad.
We had a 1 BR villa....it was very nice. They do have a DVD player, so if you plan on spending anytime in the room, you can bring some DVD's with you. I do believe you can get free DVD "rentals" from the resort, but I never looked into it.
The on-site store has some grocery type stuff, but not a huge amount. They had cereal and snacks. You can get milk and other stuff there, but it isn't cheap. We ended up doing it anyway because we never got out to Publix. They do have a deli right in the store and they had some really good sandwiches and some hot stuff.
We went to the Yacht Club Galley for dinner one night....it was good, but not great. I heard the Yachtsman Steakhouse is really good, but we never got there. We did walk over to Boardwalk and eat at the Big River Grille and Brew Works. It was just my wife and I (we had in room babysitting that night). We got a table on the boardwalk, had steaks which were really good, and the Beer sampler. It was really enjoyable. We then walked over to Epcot for EMH.
