So will you go to Hawaii?

I definitely think we will try it out if the point structure is not too obnoxious which I'm assuming based on VGC structure is. We would probably only stay 5 nights and then go to another island if we are going to trek all the way out there. I'm excited, but will wait until my youngest is at least 7-8 before we go so that the trip isn't so painful. Ten hours in a plane is a long time with little kids. I may need to be sedated too.

Of course we will! It may wipe out our point balances ... but we'll go at least once.

We're headed there this June though will be staying at nearby Marriott Ko Olina Beach Club. We'll take lots of pictures of whatever construction we can see and will report back.

My husband actually wants to add on. I don't think we will but I would love to visit there at least once. I think we will wait awhile until our children are older. And if anyone should be sedated, it's me.:lmao:

Planning to hopefully go in 2012!!:thumbsup2 Can't wait! We are hoping for a 7 month window booking. Keeping our fingers crossed! (and toes!):thumbsup2

I hope to try all the resorts at some point, but my kiddos are still young and WDW is still the prefered spot. Some day when we either add on points or get a transfer in. I am not willing to bank and borrow as many points as I think it will take to make the flight worth while.

I am hoping to spend my honeymoon in late October 2011. I am keeping my fingers crossed that there will be no construction delays. :)

YES!!! We have are 2011 plans on hold until we find out when the resort is opening. We are hoping it will be open for fall break (from school) in Mid Oct. 2011 if it's not then we will probably go DCL! Either way it's a win win situation! It sure is tough to have this problem, Hawaii or a Disney cruise. ;)

Absolutely!! Would love to make it part of a greater trip since we are that far away!! Can't wait until it is open and to hear the reports!!

Yes we will be visiting. I think more like 2012. My DH and I keep loking at the pcitures and dreaming.

I would love to if we can ever afford the flights. I think flights to HI are roughly $1000 per person. The big question is will we take DD or not. Taking her will triple the cost, but I'm not sure DW will travel that far without her. Realistically, we will probably go to Disneyland Paris before HI.

We usually go to Hawaii every 5 years so we'll probably at least TRY it for a few nights on our next trip (2012). We'll have to at least check it out. Oahu is not our most favorite island and I am afraid the points will be outrageous tho (obnoxious someone else said and that's probably about right). If it's not reasonable we'll only "stop over" there for a few nights before we move on to Maui.

We are already going in May 2011 so we will plan our next trip in 2014 using some DVC points. couldn't wait and speculate as to when it will open in 2011 so we just skipped that resort but will return in 3 years. BEst advice if you are from the east coast, stop and visit Disneyland on your way home so the time change isn't sooo big. In 2008 we did it straight from hawaii to Albany,NY and I said never again. My daughter is going to stop on her way back and do some wine touring in Napa And Simi Valley.

I would love to visit Hawaii with a stop at Disneyland. I guess it depends on points and airfare, but I have it on my wish list. Maybe for our 15th anniversary in 2015.

Hopefully before DD graduates high school in two and a half years, we will do a west coast trip. A couple of days at Disneyland, maybe some other stops in Southern Cal and a week in Hawaii. We both scuba dive so a few excursions under the sea will be in order. How many points will it take? Don’t care. Just hoping I can get a reservation.
