So why did Cruise divorce Kidman?

i have a very good friend in the "hollywood industry" and it is going around that ONE OF the reasons for the divorce was that she was having an affair with ewan mcgregor, and she was preggo w/ his baby....

Just to defend Ewan here because I love him and he's perfect (LOL), but I did see an interview with him where he was really ticked off about those rumours. He said he is happily married, loves his kids and would not ever have an affair with Nicole Kidman or anyone else, ever. Of course, talk is cheap but I believe him. Because he is perfect and I love him.

As far as Nicole goes....I've heard it all. Miscarriage, 10 year anniversary coming up, she doesn't like Scientology. But what's strange about that is that she's letting her children be raised as Scientologists. I don't think she sees her children much anymore. You never see her with them, always with Tom. And I read somewhere that said she rarely attends her daughter's soccer games. What kind of a mother doesn't attend her children's games?

You know... I'm not normally a conspiracy theorist (is that right ) but I was also wondering why NO photographers saw them leaving the house, going to the hospital, at the hospital and coming back home yet they were camped ALL over the place at his house

I read somewhere that for an hour one day law enforcement made all the photog's leave the area around Tom's house and that is when Katie SUPPOSEDLY went to the hospital but it NEVER said how she got home............your right, photog's were camped out everywhere, I even saw a picture of Ben Affleck in his car talking to the photog's asking if the baby had come yet.

I believe that Tom has a contract with Katie to "act the part" of the loving girlfriend/fiance/spouse.......................

Here is what I think.

Nicole and Tom splitting shocked everyone. The biggest shock was that Nicole was shocked. I remember her interviews, saying she really doesn't know what happened. I was sad for her. Nothing like thinking you are living a fairytale, and he walks out.

Then, a few weeks later, another shock! Now Tom is incedibly cruel. Nicole was pregnant, and she had a miscarriage. It all made sense to me then. Because, I had remembered an interview with Mimi Rogers years ago, I remember it well, because of thinking how awful it was to give out that information. But one of the things she said was Tom was the reason they could not have kids. He was infertile. I will never forget it, because I thought, no matter how nasty your divorce is, to spill that, was just wrong.

Tom=infertile, maybe Nicole did not know this, and Nicole=pregnant. Well, Nicole, Tom found out a very bad thing you did, because the baby couldn't be his. No wonder she was shocked.

I am very leery about this so called "baby" Katie had. It would be very easy for them to have an adoption process going on, time it to a delivery date, hide the "baby" from the public until the real baby is in their custody.

Either way, I don't care what anyone says, there is no way that baby is Tom's. Funny, 2 wives, no kids with the 1st wife, adoption with the 2nd wife, LEAVES a pregnant wife, and all of a sudden, after only weeks of dating, Katie Holmes is pregnant..after him declaring his undying love for her, something he had never done with any of his other leading ladies.

Nothing adds up. Except for maybe the changing sizes of Katies belly over the nine months, that seemed more like 10.5 months, considering in October, they announced she was 4 months pregnant.

Tom recently said in an interview that he's a film maker. I'd need to see live film of Katie having that baby to believe that she WAS pregnant. If she was, I don't think it was Tom's.

That said, sometimes male infertility is due to extremely low, ahem, counts. Meaning that having a baby has a miniscule chance of happening. Sooo...Nic could have miscarried Tom's baby.

I feel sorry for all the children - Tom & Nicole's two and TomKat's baby. Whatever the reasons are(even if they are valid), divorce is never pretty and everyone involved usually at some level mourns the death of their family.

And about Ms. Kidman supposedly not going to her children's soccer games...the paparazzi stalk that poor woman like you wouldn't believe. The security around her on a movie set is *unbelievable*. Maybe she doesn't want to cause a scene at her childrens' events, who knows. Or maybe she goes every other time & TomKat attend the games she misses, maybe she's out of the country working when the soccer season has been on.

The public doesn't always know the truth behind all the "stories".

Here is what I think.

I think the main reason she was shocked was that they had just had a big renewal of wedding vows party Christmas Eve 2000 (they were married Christmas Eve 1990). Then he wanted to divorce her and say that their marriage was "really over" before that party (which would have made it before the 10 year point). I would certainly have been surprised if my DH had made a big, expensive renewal of vows party and a few weeks later wanted to divorce me.

I think Tom is a very controlling and jealous person. When he met Nicole, he was the big star and she was the little actress that he chose for his film, Days of Thunder. The last film they made together was "Eyes Wide Shut", which brought up a lot more conjecture about his "preferences". I remember reading that his kisses looked totally wooden (like he had never kissed a woman before). No one questioned Nicole's kissing on that film or when she was working on Moulin Rouge. I think he felt upstaged by her and I don't think he liked it that she was becoming a big star.
I also remember hearing that he didn't like her spending so much time in Australia with her family and did not like the children to be away from LA (??away from the Scientology Center - I know Scientology was banned in parts of Australia until somtime in the 1980s).

As for her not being in pictures with her children, I had read that she wanted to keep her children's lives private as much as possible. I have also read that the kids always have a scientology "babysitter" with them and they are allowed little contact with people who are not scientologists - Tom had something in an interview about the need to keep children's thoughts pure (or something), so it would nhot surprise me to hear that Tom wouldn't let her have free access to the kids.

You know I could swear that Tom himself replied to a statement made in an interview years ago that he WAS infertile. He said he would still like to have kids so he would adopt. It was one of those night time interviews with and I could be wrong Barbara Walters or some heavy hitting news woman. I always remembered it and so therefore was kind of shocked with the whole pregnancy issues. Oh and by the way what happened to waiting till they were married LOL!! Please. I think he has a rainbow in his pocket.
As to the Katie HOlmes thing...she is just one of those people who always look as if they are perminently on mood altering drugs. If Nicole and Tom truly wanted kids he had the money to move mountains and most likely would have had one with one method or the other. He is bizarre and so is she. And to those people who say this is a private matter for them I say then don't open the door and tell your business unless you are prepared to deal with the consequences.

I believe also, their differing religions played a part in the break up. She did not want their kids raised as Scientologists.

This is what his Mother said to someone just after he filed for divorce. Nicole should thank her lucky stars that she is well rid of that lunatic.

$10 bucks says that Cruise will never marry Katie Holmes. If he does, the marriage will last 2 weeks shy of 10 years so he doesnt have to give her half of everything he has.
His new movie is tanking at the theatres. Looks like the public has finally figured out that he sucks as an actor.

Even Brooke Sheilds entourage at the same hospital said they didn't see them either. I thought that was interesting. Cruise also claimed to have had a bunch of "decoys" that were there to trick the photographers. yeah, ok Tom whatever ya say.

It's so funny to me how 'regular' folks come up with all of the reasons why he split with his past wives - like any of us knows the reason. In my opinion, it's kind of insulting to adoptive children that people assume that everyone wants to have their own biological children and so if they don't, then infertility is the reason - they adopted two beautiful children, so why is it anyone's business why they did so?

Tom Cruise may be a "wacko" or a "lunatic", but so may any of the rest of us. Let's all hope that his children grow up into well adjusted adults with morals and values (I teach high risk children who have had terrible lives, with terrible parents), instead of wishing ill will upon them as is the case when strangers postulate about their parents having affairs, faking pregnancies, marriages not lasting, etc.
