Looking to buy the 7/4 hopper for Dec trip....we have never been to or even thought much about WWS...what exactly do you do there? Is it worth it? I am wondering if it will be maybe a less crowded option for one of our days . Our kids are 10 and 14.

Thanks,
Pam

I read a review on the Wide World of Sports recently as we were thinking of going over there to watch the Buccaneers practice. However, the hurricane cancelled our plans.
I believe I read the review on allearsnet.com. It was written by a young man (teen) who was a big sports fan. I think it was he and a brother along with their mother. Anyway, they were also going to watch the Buccaneers practice but it was a rainy day and the practice was cancelled. They did enjoy eating there but found little else to do. The activities you can do are pretty limited.
Go over to allearsnet.com and I think it was in "beyond the parks" or something like that.
Bottom line is you really can't spend much time there as there is not much to do.

Hubby & I went there a couple of years ago. At the time, they had the "NFL Experience" at the WWOS. I think they still have it, but I'm not positive on this. My hubby really enjoyed doing this. It was like a course of many different things to complete similar to football camp. It was a nice thing to do on a lazy day when we needed a break from the parks. We also ate lunch at the All-Star Cafe - it was OK, not bad, but not great either. If you have boys they may enjoy this, otherwise you might want to skip it.

Maybe someone else has some more recent info - HTH! :)

We were there this past spring break for Atlanta Braves spring training. It was cool. I'm not sure how much there is to do there if there is not some kind of event going on. DH went last summer during the Buc's training camp and he really enjoyed it. All Star Cafe is so-so. Not bad and reasonably priced.

Thanks all...I think we will skip it and hang onto the "plus" features for the water parks...for future trips!;)

Went to WWS in 2002 when my DD's softball team played there. There"s really not much to do there otherwise. :thewave:
