Well this might seem like a strange place to put my first post, but it was this sweepstakes that first brought me here!
I learned of the #WhyIWantDeluxe sweepstakes from another source, and I entered it every day, and occasionally more than once a day. I did manage to find the twitter page of the winner and I was very pleased to see that she entered much as I did, which was once a day and sometimes twice, with several entries on the last day (but none after the last day). Like me, she posted photos of trips to WDW with a comment as to why she wanted deluxe. She didn't post over and over like some people did, and I felt that she complied with the spirit of the sweepstakes. Good for her! I know she will have a great time!
I have nowhere the experience a lot of you have had with Disney, but my adult daughter and I just returned from a trip to WDW in April. We took our children several times when they were young, and then as often happens, they took trips without us. I accompanied my husband twice on business trips there (2003 and 2009) but my daughter hadn't been since she was a senior in high school, when she went with a group from a local church. She had not been in 18 years, so we decided to go, and we had a ball! Stayed at Boardwalk Inn and had a wonderful time! I'm 64 and I rode rides I never thought I'd get on and I had a blast! The only thing I won't repeat is Mission Space: Orange. Favorite had to be Tower of Terror, with Expedition Everest a close second.
Of course now we are ready to go back, and if finances allow, we may try for the Food & Wine Festival. I'll be researching that here.
I am looking forward to interacting with everyone and hearing about the next sweepstakes which, if I understand correctly, will be announced on June 6. Perhaps a trip to
Disneyland? I've never been - that's across the country for me! Would love to go.
