I've done this enough years that I feel like I'm finally getting good at it. I was up at 4:30 this morning. I didn't do a ton - just a few good deals. Circuit City had 1GB memory cards for $3 after mail in rebate! That was worth getting up early for! As much as I hate shopping part of me gets swept up in Black Friday morning - I love to people watch. You see some crazy stuff!

I couldn't believe the lines. I did this last year and don't remember it being nearly so bad. There were a few stores that I walked into and decided nothing I could buy would justify waiting in that kind of line so I crossed that off my list. The only insane line I waited in was at my LSS - they had 5 banquet tables full of stuff at 75% off then you picked a discount out of a bag for your non-sale items - anywhere from 15-100% off. I pulled the 50% discount out! I couldn't believe it! Because it's a small store and a great sale I waited in line for over 90 minutes there! Only for scrapbooking would I make that sacrifice!! ;)

I really didn't go crazy this morning - I got home around 11 then went online and found a few good deals there too. The majority of my Christmas shopping is done - I just have to get gifts for my coworkers. I feel pretty proud that I'm ahead of the game for once.

I got the cameras for the boys but there was not a DS to be found. I ran into a friend at Target and she said that Best Buy will have more tomorrow. So I will be there with bells on. I usually don't go out but I saved $90 on the cameras so you can't beat that. I will never take DH shopping again though, it was oh let's go this way, oh lets look at that. We wasted a lot of time. I also got another migraine in the process, so I'm going to go lay down for a bit.

Kudos NEE on the 50% off! My LSS had sales until 11 but we didn't make it that far.

I got the portable DVD player at Kohls for DH. I was there 15 minutes before opening and got one of the last vouchers, so I was excited. Also got DH a wallet, some slipper socks for stocking stuffers and a griddle for my Mom. Spent $50 at Joanns getting paper (for next years swaps!) and those Jolee's value packs. I used my Michael's 25% off total purchase coupon there since J's was only doing 20%. Got DVD-R's, flash drive and CF card at Staples. And I braved a one hour line at Circuit City for the Northern Exposure Season 1/2 DVD set DH wanted for himself and his parents (we lived about 2 hours away from where they shot that show). I popped into Walmart about 9:30 to see what they had left for DVDs but didn't find anything we had to have, but there were still a TON of electronics left. Pallets of the 20, and 32" tvs, printers, monitors. I was surprised, but thankfully I didn't need anything. But after this morning, I am almost done with my shopping.

I used my ACMoore 60% off coupon at Michaels and got the Cub Scout album for $12!!!  And this morning, online, I got the matching paper/sticker pack, on sale, w/free shipping! :thumbsup2

I always go out early, but slept in this year....but it was ok...I was at Michaels for less than 5 minutes...no lines, no waiting! :teeth:

We got up at 3, got ready, and made it to the mall by 4:30 a.m. I went to Disney Store, Bath & Body Works, Hallmark, and some other places. I got some good deals early--love those Christmas sweaters at Disney! DH went to Walmart and got SD cards and flash drives. He also tried Best Buy, but the line was so long he couldn't get in the door. He came back and got me, and then we hit AC Moore, Dick's Sporting Goods (CROCS sale!), and went back to Best Buy (we got in that time!). We also hit another Walmart and Target. I got almost all of my Christmas shopping done (plus a few things for me :rotfl2: )--just have a few gift cards left.

We came home around 1 and crashed! Now to put all of that stuff away!! B&MB, I hope you feel better! Good luck at Best Buy tomorrow!

NEE--WOW! Our LSS doesn't have a Black Friday sale. 50% off--that's awesome! I always get the 10% or 15%!

hope--our Walmart was the same way. Some stuff had run out (the Hitachi TV that they had for not very much), but mostly all of the electronics were very well stocked, even at 11 a.m.

Momof2DisneyKids--I didn't even brave JoAnn's/Michael's! Congratulations on your good deals!!

A funny--when we were at Best Buy, the line to check out was from the front of the store, ALLLLLL the way around the store. I reluctantly walked to the end with the DVD's we were buying for my brother. When I got to the end, this wonderful manager guy said, "Just go over to that roped off area on your left. They have a behind-the-scenes register, and they'll check you out quick." I called DH (in another part of the store) and said, "Hurry! Get over here with whatever you are buying--they've put us in the fast pass line!" Later, DH said, "Did that guy REALLY call it a fast pass line?!" :rotfl2: Not that our WDW obsession impacts our life or anything!! :teeth:

I totally hear you. My DH said he wanted to go with me but I told him we had to have a plan, a list and a mission (go right for the desired item, in and out - no wandering.) When he heard that he begged off. He was talking about looking for a pair of jeans - darling, today is not the day to do that!!

Sorry to hear you ended up with a migraine! Hope it disappears fast!

At my Michaels, they had the Cricut for $179.99, which was far less than the $249.99 in the paper. Plus, with the coupons for how much you spend, I could have gotten it for $135.

It just wasn't in the budget.

I don't need a Cricut, I don't need a Cricut, I don't need a Cricut, I don't need a Cricut. :guilty: It wouldn't be any fun without loads of additional fonts and other stuff. :guilty:

Hey, I didn't go out..but I want to find one of those "fastpass lanes" when I do go.. Can I call ya for pointers? LOL

Oooo!! What a fun thread! We got:

A portable DVD player - my DH said it was because he wanted to start making more frequent trips to WDW!! Yippy!! :cool1:

A new laptop for me that came with a free printer and virus protection software.

Plus, I went shopping at A.C. Moore [I just love 60% off coupons!!], Michaels, and Hobby Lobby and got way too much stuff to list here... :rolleyes1 It was a good day for shopping!
