So who is going when on a code rate? I have cancelled mine and rescheduled for early next year. It will work better for my workload and as much as I enjoy Disney in Sept/Oct I like getting out of the cold in Jan/Feb. Aad it gets me out of this mess:lmao:

I am going to keep watching this thread though,it has me hooked on how it will play out. Are we all Chicken littles running in circles yelling "The sky is falling" or is the sky really falling.?

Who knows what evil lurks in the heart of men The Disney CR deparment knows (insert dark sinister laugh here)

So who is going when on a code rate, mine is not until Dec 16th they would not allow me to use the code earlier then that in Dec.

Maybe we can figure out if this is going to work or not.

I'm going on the 40% off the room code (previously a rack rate package) POP Century.
Hope everything works out for you! I think I'm getting the room for a little over 50.00/night!

WOW! They actually did that?? Like what the moderators went through & found all posts associated & sent them to Disney? What happened to a little pixie dust & having a Disney day? :scared1:

The BW incident is not even remotely close to this glitch. Like comparing apples to oranges. People on this board absolutely knew it was a glitch and booked it anyhow. The moderators??? No. From what I understand, Big Brother (Disney) is watching. And finding the posts is how Disney proved it. This situation is clearly a huge issue with miscommunication and training of CM's and I am guessing a boat load of other issues. Whether a person could book the discount or not was never clear. It still apparently isn't. Disney is at fault for this one. Unfortunately, that is still not going to protect anyone who did not have the pin from having the offer revoked if that is truly the case. I wish you all luck. What a mess.

Yes they did that. Anyone who fought Disney about them forcing them to cancel or pay up more $ was sent pages and pages of DISboars posts with highlighted sections linking them to the reservations and saying that they intentionally tried to defraud them.
You can read about it here:

Thanks for the update, Big brother, lol at that analogy!! I do see what your saying, a mess indeed for all involved, but I come from a CS background, I would think the seller (Disney) would go good on those who have booked with the codes, since it wasn't the consumers fault at time of booking?

No i agree that its not remotely close to the BW glitch.I simply woudnt put anything past Big Brother at this point so i like to cover my bases.Which is why i removed my location and birthday from the DIS.

That remains to be seen. Curiouser and curiouser! Sounds like something is coming down the pike though.

I don't plan to change anything of mine on here, for I think if I am talking with Disney's CRO and Guest Services, I am talking to a representative of Disney (though I am sure other people will disagree) :)

I don't think I defrauded them. I truely believed the code was general code since so many people are using it. This is not like the BW glitch where people obviously know there is something wrong with the system (who sells room upgrade for negative dollar amount anyway?) I was upfront with them and asked about the PIN. I don't think the BW people called up and asked about the bug.

And booking the room is still within their margin of making profit. 40% off a room is not like a free upgrade with BW. Disney is still making money.

Of course Disney can do anything they want. It's a private property and they can kick you out for any reason (except for outright discrimination as defined by US laws). There are enough people clamoring to go to WDW that they don't care if we pack up and take our business elsewhere. Disney doesn't have to do anything for us, period.

But, it doesn't hurt to hope :)

I am going to drink more Kool-Aid now.
