So who is going to sign up for the WDW Star Wars Galactic Cruiser experience for next year?***Commercial, post #40***

I'm not into SW enough to pay that amount.

HP for the same price? You bet!!

I would be interested in trying it, but if I can't make it, there's Plan B.

(Plan B is where I sit in a bath tub filled with water and Star Wars figures, shouting "Pew-pew! Zwoosh!", getting the full effect for free.)

We took a 8-week road trip around the U.S over the summer, mostly visiting national parks. We probably spent a little over $15,000. This would cost hardly more than a third of that, for only 54 fewer days.
That sounds awesome! How did you plan it?

That's too much money. We've never been to WDW, and we would have to fly coast-coast to get there. I haven't seriously priced the hotels, but I imagine I can get at least a week out of the Poly for that price. Plus airfare, tickets to the rest of the parks, food, etc...Hubby is dying to go, but he'd have to cover the cost of SW for me to agree to go. I'd happily cover the rest of the vacation, if that were the case. It had been a loose plan to go in the next year or so, but now I'm not so sure.

Not interested. Way too expensive for a tiny self-contained hotel 'experience'. Sure that Disney will at first fill the rooms with some of the 'money is no object' types or those who are huge Star Wars fans, but then what? Even for them will it be a 'one and done' experience? Find it hard to believe everyone or all age groups will find the same sort of structured activities to their liking. Liked the first few Star Wars movies, but lost interest as they just seemed to bring out more sequels as a way to capitalize on its initial popularity. Lost track of the various characters as they moved forward/backward in time with the various releases. Now, its just another movie franchise and most of the obvious story lines have played out.

Would be curious to see how they pitched this project to Disney when first getting the funds approved. Wonder how they see it evolving 5-10-15 years from now? Most popular movies & sequels have a shelf-life and then they fade away.

I would love to go but at them prices I will have to say no. Be watching it on you tube instead. Maybe when I retire and have lots more money we will go.

I'm interested, but I'll wait until there are reviews of the experience to say for sure.
