I just got my "invite" to join the Circle.

I about fell out of my chair when I saw how much wanted.

Then I realized that it includes the 4 cartridges. Not just the opportunity to purchase. That makes it just under $69 for each cart. About retail for exclusive carts.

Going to see if I can talk DH into letting me join.

Are you registered for reward points?
I figured that is what triggered the invite. I don't do anything else on the website. Never purchased anything from them.

Hmmm...haven't done anything with the folks at PC - haven't even registered any of our carts yet (gulp!). Z2H and I have that as one of our summer projects!

Anywho, what are the four exclusive carts? French Manor I see, and are the others the animal one, the retro kitchen one, and the art deco one?

C'mon, spill the beans, cutie! And, ahem...the $?

Inquiring minds want to know! :rotfl2:

They didn't tell in the notice. Just that it would be announced later on.

Here is what it said:

What does life look like inside the Cricut Circle?

-Four exclusive cartridges a year, one each quarter, (starting with French Manor) ONLY available to The Cricut Circle members
-Special buying privileges like rebates, monthly coupons, and opportunities to buy other exclusive products for your Cricut, from friends and partners of Provo Craft
-Extra reward points and special cricut.com discounts
-A members-only bracelet with an exclusive Cricut Circle charm (get ready to be the envy of your friends)
-A special Cricut Circle Community will come together through an exclusive Cricut Circle forum on cricut.com
Inspiration and education from exclusive Cricut Circle webinars, swarms, meet-ups, and events
-A fun Cricut Circle blog and a monthly project-inspired online magazine to fill your mind with ideas galore
-Charter members will have access to information and opportunities to become a part of the decision making process of future Cricut products by participating on research panels

So other than the carts, I don't know if I would really use it or not.

I got mine, too! I was like you and about flipped at the price. Though, for 4 carts, that's not bad!

Turns out there is a new Xbox in town. Xbox vs Cricut. Boys vs Girl. Guess we are getting a new Xbox. :rotfl2:

That's hilarious, AWM!! We just had that same conversation at our dinner table. The Xbox would win here, too!!

Nan, if you want my invite, I'll send you my login stuff! :)

Have you seen the no controls necessary feedback add-on coming in November? It's call Kinect. I bet it blows away the Wii. No controls. How cool is that?

I got my invite, and promptly deleted it when I saw the price. :scared1: It was $275 (I think). I'd rather take that money and use it to buy carts that I know I would want and use. It's a great idea, just too rich for my blood.

My email said it was sent to people who have registered their carts (I have not done this), or the top 3% of Rewards Points earners...so apparently I have done that.

The price is a bit high, even for 4 cartridges. You better like them. But we'll see.

Boy, I got a rock. :confused3

All my carts are registered since I got my gypsy so I don't think that drives the invite.

never heard of it.

But for $275 I don't think I'd be interested, the carts will be available on ebay soon enough.

I got the email and laughed out loud when I saw the price. I never pay full price for a cart anyway, so why would I pay almost full price for 4 carts sight unseen? 4 fantastic ones, maybe, but it's too big of a gamble.

I am on the fence about it. I have been reading what everyone thinks on the cricut board. Technically you can get 5 carts for that price (that is with the extra 800 points you get). There are some questions... first are these full carts or solutions or "lites". Will I even like the other 3 carts? I do not like French Manor at all. Not my thing, but I probably could sell it on ebay and get a decent amount for it. I have no use for the 10% off at cricut.com. There stuff is too expensive. I wonder in a less than a year will the price drop dramatically like the gyspy has already done. I got my G when it was introduced. Did not want one at first, but got caught up in the hype. I do use it often. Using it now and it has saved me, because my computer crashed thus my cds is gone. So now I am without my scrapping computer, but I still can work on my MAW swap and design on my G. Ooopss got off topic. Sorry.

Anyway if I waited to get my G I would have been able to get it for 2/3 less. I believe there is some more info coming out on Wednesday about it, so I will check that out. Really not sure if it is a great deal. Now if they have an exclusive Disney cart that would be the bombshell.

I got the invite. Not sure what I am doing. Very expensive IMO and not know what the carts are.

Where is the pictures of the manor one?

I got it and I'm thinking no....I'm too cheap for something like that. I have never paid more than $45 for a cart-can't see paying $275 for only 4 carts.
