So who is going to join the Cricut Circle

Crap - I've gotta clean up this area more often.

This afternoon, Z2H and I just bought (online) lots of avalanche white and blackbird black Bazzill. What did I *just* find? A fricking armload of 15+ Bazzill paper packs - black, white, reds, pinks, purples (the 25 count packs) that I bought at ACM for $1 each on clearance about two months ago.

ARRRRRRGGGGGG! That will teach me. Oh, well. We do use a lot of white and black and (thought) we were totally out.

Double crap.

I got the invite. I will pass. $274 is WAY too much. Kudos to provo craft though for sucking people in and finding a new revenue stream.

Exclusive carts, but I don't know if I would want them. There are currently bunches of carts I don't want, so there is no reason to think I would definitely want these.

Also, are we sure these are free? It says that French Manor will be sent with your welcome kit, but that others will be "released". I am not 100% certain that there are 4 free carts. And, are they full carts? Lite? Solutions?

Points -- I haven't used the points I already have

I suppose the number one reason to join would be to sell the carts on ebay just like Shawn suggested. Sadly, I think it is a pretty certain thing that you could make back the $274 from people willing to overpay for an "exclusive" cart.

You know, I wonder: are these invites linked to a confidential survey from a while back?

Absolute craziness! $275 for four cartridges? Not for me. I did get an invite, but really $275? For 4 cartridges? Someone did mention linking them to a Gypsy and selling them...Bet you could make back that $275 plus some for "exclusive" carts.

It puts a bad taste in my mouth how they did this. Not "inclusive and unity" but "exclusive and elitist." (And I got an invite!).

SIOH~ $275. that is the price for one child's book rental this year.... so I'll just hold on to my nice little money and play "Good Mommy" and give my kids an education! LOL That's the only way I can get them out of the house!

I've finally looked at French Manor. I don't like it either. It just isn't my style of scrapping.

I won't use any of the other "features" of the program for the same reason the rest of you have mentioned.

I am no longer sad that the Xbox won.

Looks like a lot of similar stuff to other carts, and not very useful other stuff (how many chandelier cuts do I need? -- or even Eiffel Towers?).

Cost is way too high for unknown carts (some of them lately seem to be very similar to others) -- and the 800 points isn't worth much (I had a hard time "spending" the 1200points I already had). (It reads that a cart is included every quarter -- total of 4).

I got the invite too, but didn't open it until just a bit ago, after a read a little of the outrage on 2Peas. I won't be doing this...like others have said, I so rarely pay full price for any of the carts to begin with, and we can likely find something discounted later on eB if we really, really want the cart. I WILL NOT buy a cart sight unseen!

I don't like this, and am trying to understand PC's motive behind it. Maybe carts aren't selling like hotcakes like they once were, and they're trying to really up the buzz-worthiness of the new stuff. But they need to have updated content, rather than the same images over and over...although I can't wait for the new Toy Story cart to be available (for less money, that is!)!

I also think the fact that the Cricut board hasn't been working at all lately would put me off in joining any club they would offer. If I remember right when they sent a survey out about starting something up like this a lot of people told them they were not interested.

When I got the invite I knew it was going to be expensive... but silly me didn't think it was going to be that expensive! No way would I pay $275 for a vauge membership, especially for carts I can't see and I really don't like the French manor cart. And for all the other reasons already listed.
Its a good idea in theory - just way out there in the price imo. Maybe if it was a small membership fee and the opportunity to buy the exclusive carts - I'd be more willing you pay a little more for an exclusive cart I loved, but that much for 4 carts, the first I hate? no thanks.
I don't remember if I ever filled out a survey, but I have redeemed rewards.

I about fainted when I saw the price! I do not pay full price for anything...ANYTHING. I managed to use a coupon on my G and my baby bug...no way the price for those carts is anywhere never what I currently pay...besides, it will probably be carts full of owls, flowers, and little girls stuff. (wink and a nod to my DIS buds! )

The rewards points trigger the email. I have about 1400 points so if that's the top 3% then I guess a few Cricuteers try to keep that many points or more in the bank. I got my email this week but I don't know about buying into the Circle yet.
