I just did one for the first time last night and it was tough! Hard work, but it seemed like it would be good for me - a lot of muscles were used, and I found I was able to stretch certain areas more than I could before. It was nice to have some quiet time at the end when we were just relaxing on the mats and zoning out, though I did have to concentrate on the breathing in order to stop my mind from wandering! get bored easily - I hope this will force me to be still for a while and enjoy it!
Do you regular yoga folks find that it has helped you to remain more calm, patient or tolerant? Does it take away the stress a bit? I am hoping that regular yoga will help with this - my fuse has been a bit short lately.
