With a side note look up Belleveiw Mental Hospital I have been there (not as a patient ha ha) I love abandonded buildings and I will dare anybody to walk there with me at night you are guranteed to poop your pants I have seen people in rooms when I go in they are gone, I have seen machines that are making noises but when you get close to them they could not have because they are rusted dead and no power, and this is during the day I can imagine what its like at night.

Donna hates it when I go exploring, but I can't help it I love old buildings if they are haunted even better. try this one

The only time I ever took Donna with me exploring was to the Coral Gables Biltmore Hotel before it was restored during its abandoned stage, I was working there during the day and I did see stuff there that might give you the willies, like tool boxes that kept moving from floor to floor, the elevator making noises even though it had no power.

I made friends with the security guard lady who had heard all sorts of noises coming from the hotel, but refused to enter the building, I asked if I could go exploring so I came back at night with Donna and my daughter so they could see it and do some exploring with me, but well they refused to leave the car. I thought it was weird that the pool which was used in the 1920 Olympics was still filled and the water and was so clear you could see the moonlight from the top floors, but when I got down to see it up close I noticed that the pool was indeed empty and in bad shape. I saw water kids I don’t care what they say or why they say the light bounced off this or that… I saw water and it was clear enough to let you see the moonlight.

Now that is just freaky.

Okay, now I never saw this ghost myself, but I know folks who have. (And I believe them... these aren't people who would pull your leg.)

Way back in the "old days", when I was living in Indiana, I helped out with Elkhart Civic Theatre (located in Bristol... but this doesn't appear in the web site Ed linked to...)

Well, folks there (at the Bristol Opera House) swear that there's a resident ghost at said Opera House. My good friend, John, a full-time employee, hasn't seen him, but he has experienced props moving around onstage (before, during or after performances) and other unexplainable "incidents". One other fellow thespian I knew "way back when" - who was 6 foot 6 inches at least and built like a Mac truck... refused to ever be alone in the theatre. I can't recall if he ever saw the ghost or not, but I'd never have imagined this mountain of a man being scared of anything.

Makes ya think, huh?

Did you see the part on WDW?
http://theshadowlands.net/famous/disneylandHM.htm

My friend who's worked at WDW for years says there's a ghost in Spaceship Earth too.He was an older gentleman that was a tech there. One night he went to work in SSE and it was his time.He died of a heart attack while working.Other techs now claim to see him or things they were supposse to fix are fixed already!

I'm not sure I believe in ghost, but it does give me the willies!

Well all this talking about ghosts left me wanting a flash back to the old days when I got to do some exploring in old said to be haunted abandoned buildings, so tonight I grabbed my flashlight and convinced Donna to just go and sit in the truck, armed with my trusty Olympus ghost camera I went back to Belleview Mental Hospital now I find out it was also called Sunland Memorial Hospital.

Well I get there and mind you its been over 7 years since I have been there, and I cant find it so I start driving around and using my truck powers for good, I went over hills and dales looking for the hospital…. Well I didn’t find the hospital because I found out later that it was demolished in 1999 after a teenager that was like me exploring the building fell down the elevator shaft (amateur) he lived but the hospital did not.

But wait you know me, and I do have a witness I was driving around when all of the sudden I go over a hill and find myself on a dirt road, I start driving and meet up with two ladies who are in uniform one in a guards uniform the other in an all blue with strips uniforms, now the guard wants to know how I got there, because you see I was smack dab in the middle of a Women’s correctional institute, well they showed me the way out, and I kept driving around took another turn and this time I was in the center for Teenage girls correctional institute.

At this point I gave up and headed for home because 3 times a charm and with my luck the third time would have been the males most violent offenders correctional institute. I do dare say those ladies were friendly enough.

So I’m glad Donna was with me, (Well yes and no) because I knew nobody would believe me otherwise.

When I got home my friend Wren that was trying to guide me to the hospital sent me the link that tells the story of the hospital.

As I told a pin trader friend of ours today..this stuff really does happen to him..and I was with him for proof...it was really pretty funny, we kept driving deeper and deeper into this compound..I guess we are lucky we didn't become permanent visitors..

kewl site,,

I came across this,,
Pensacola - Original Sacred Heart Hospital - There is a hallway that is about where the nuns would cross to go to the chapel of the hospital. It is been reported that there is the kind old spirit of one of the sisters that frequents the hallway and corridor. She will often tap people on the shoulder from behind, much as she did in life
and had to say that back in the mid 70's,, I went to school in that building,, it was a private school called Liberal Arts, and as students, we all knew there were presences in that building. None of us would dare venture past the 4th floor,, as it was just way too scarey. Also, the bottom floor was supposedly the morque at one time, and when I went to school there,, it was used as the 'lunch' area,, and the science rooms, locker rooms, and a student lounge was down there,, It had a 'feeling' about it. The 'Nun' story was a popular one, and many kids swore that they would feel an urgency to leave that floor. It was common to 'dare' other kids to go up there :lol. Anyway,, I thought it was kewl to see the Ol Sacred Heart mentioned :) I think the imagination is a very powerful thing.

That said,, next week I will be in London, and am going on the 'Jack the Ripper' tour,, should be fun :)

I think Eddie would love to come along on that one..for sure!!
