So who’s Not Cancelling?

Booked Labor Day weekend months ago and aren’t sure yet what we are going to do. MNSSHP + F&W and now GE have me reeling with worried about crowds. Haven’t canceled yet.

We booked back in January for 9/28-10/4 to take advantage of free dining and cheap rooms, and we’re sticking it out! We assumed we would miss SW:GE and are SUPER excited it will be open when we’re there because we’re huge Star Wars fans. I am a tad nervous about getting ADRs and Fastpasses for other parks now, because I think WDW will be more crowded as a whole, but I checked 180 days out and see plenty of availability at our chosen restaurants. The hardest part for me will be explaining to my kids, husband, and in-laws (who are joining us, but haven’t been to WDW in 20 years) just how busy it will be. Like, we may not even get to go to Hollywood Studios busy...I don’t think they get that yet! I am happy we’re going a month in so we can see how they’re handling crowds.

My husband and I are still going on our May 2020 couple-only trip specifically to see SW:GE because even if we get in the land this trip, we know we won’t be able to immerse ourselves in it with our kids and parents in tow. I hope Fastpasses are available by then and the Club Level paid program still exists because that is our plan.

Opening day falls on day 2 of our trip. I had hoped to get DS to the toy story stuff, as that’s new since our last trip, but there no way I’m going anywhere near DHS now.

10/1 to 10/10 and not cancelling. going with a plan to hit TSL, Rock'n Roller Coaster and get out of HS. We will not see Fantasmic this time but I am okay with that. HS will be a one and done this trip for us

My non-refundable plane tickets made the decision very easy for me! All I can do is accept it & maybe add meditation to my training regiment for Disney.
I’m already very chill and very patient but I have a feeling I might need to kick up my game to deal with that insanity (because I won’t be able to resist jumping directly in to the insanity to see SWGE).

We're going 9/11-9/25 with free dining and we are not cancelling. Its going to be a madhouse, but we're thrilled to be part of the chaos. Did we book this trip hoping for low crowds? Yes. But now we'll let ourselves get caught up in the mayhem. We were there for the opening of the new Fantasyland back in the day and opening of Everest. I know its not the same, but we had a blast getting caught up in the excitement. We'll do the same this September. Plus my kids are older now so it will be way easier. Yay for SWGE!

August 24 - 31. Had been planning to spend all of the 30th in HS (my son loves Star Wars and really wants to ride Slinky Dog). Shuffling plans to do an EMM earlier in the week to get as much of Toy Storyland as possible and we will brave HS on the 30th, bright and early. Even just to walk around and check it out. I showed kiddo pics of some of the merchandise and he is excited to get a Porg and a Droid, and try the blue milk. Even if we don't get on the ride, I think we'll have fun there. I was surprised and a little shocked, I had thought we would have a nice quiet trip! Now... well I will roll with it and it just means we don't need to go back as soon. I'm sure by the time we go we will both just be super excited to be at Disney!

Can people even make fast passes yet for SWGE? I went to HS in Aug when Toy Story Mania opened I believe in June and it wasn't that bad having FP we were able to ride all new things and then just avoided that part of the park for the rest of the time. Good luck to everyone

I admit to being bummed yesterday as I saw my plans to check out TSL evaporate. But after my husband talked me down, we aren't going to let it change our trip much. We had planned for 2 days at HS, we may ditch the second day and do a different park instead. We will probably only go to HS to do our 3 fast passes and then back to the resort for pool time. It may turn out to be more relaxing of a vacation for us if we spend more time at the resort haha!

We were originally going to take 2019 "off" due to GE opening.

Then we bought new APs (lol)

I am so excited to be able to see it this year, because we really are taking time off after our APs expire. I don't want to invest in them again until Epcot's makeover is complete.

I feel like I won the lottery with it opening early.

No FP's available for a "time"

Nope. Booked 8/29 through 9/3, and already made flight reservations, MK EMM and other ADRs for parents’ birthday celebrations (myself, DM, DF, DB, and one DSis). May try to check out the land since myself and DF are SW fans, but we do have a longer trip planned over Thanksgiving with my other DSis who is an uber-SW fan, so... we will see....

Booked last Dec for Sept 14-28th. No plans at all on cancelling. DSIL who doesn't even know much about Star Wars is super excited. However we will also be spending a lot of time at the Dark Side for HHN. I hope we get a chance at least to look around the new land, but if we don't we are going back in Dec.

We have two ADR's in the park One for dinner and one for breakfast (two different days. We probably eat, use our three fast passes, depending on how insane it is check out the new land and if need be spend more time at Stormalong Bay since we are at Beach Club or another park.

I was going to book a bounceback for the end of August, but as of yesterday, no thank you. If I'm going to get one more trip out of my AP, I'll book it for before GE opens. I have ZERO interest in Star Wars and have no desire to battle additional crowds *everywhere* because of it.
