So...when did you guys start packing?

I always start packing about a month before. I just leave the suitcases somewhere out of the way, and add to them. I have a master list saved on the computer, so I rely on this to help me when packing. It always seems that, no matter how early I start, I'm still scrambling to get finished the night before.

I start making lists AGES before our trip but don't pack until the last moment. I tried packing ahead of time once and ended-up leaving lots of important "stuff" behind. Not a good experience.

I've done the same thing! Or else, I've forgotten what I've packed and packed the same thing twice!

I've found that I have to pack each family member's clothing all at once! Otherwise, someone will end up with no pajamas and twice as many pairs of underwear

Same goes for all toiletries. If I don't pack them all at once, I'll forget what I've already packed and leave half of it at home!

We leave in 9 days and I usually have it all done by this time. But I'm still watching to see what the weather is supposed to be like to get a better idea of what to pack.
