Did the prices go up a lot this year? For some reason I remember spending around the $250 range for a room at the Dolphin including 2 wristbands AND the seminars. Are they charging separate for the seminars this year?

I emailed you! We want a full 2-night package with a Starwood discount (I sent you my number).

Thanks T!!

I know that the question has been asked but I can't remember where but....is the Swan worth the $20 difference? What is the difference in the two hotels?

Yes, the are charging seperate for the seminars. and the price did go up on everything. I guess we need to decide if the package is the deal for you or if you want to buy the event ala carte.

As most of you know, I leave for Europe in 24 HOURS!!!! I will be checking my emails nightly, so if you have any questions, just let me know. I will be back on 6/10.

Thanks,
T.:)

Also awaiting news on when the package is available to book. Didn't go last year, but definitely going this year. Someone else asked but I didn't see the answer, does anyone remember how much the package rates were last year?

Last year when I booked the package was $169 and night and we paid $50 for a seminar( did the wine blending with Tony - which was awesome) and the wristband was included. I also remember booking in August. We are staying in an Executive Suite this year so I am just looking for info on seminars and wristbands

If we book Fri and Sat Night do we get two wristbands for both days?

We're staying on SPG points. I'm hoping that there will still be tickets, not just wristbands, like there as last year (?).

Just sent you an email T!

I guess I am not surprised that the prices went up so much. I just hope they provide the same level of food & drink as you all talked about last year.

But I figure the basic package (no seminars) is the same price as staying at Pop and buying the wristbands. And with the package, we are already home after a night of indulging. No buses to ride!! Definitely worth it to me. :thumbsup2

IMHO, the seminar I attended was not worth the $50 if the wristband hadn't been included. I did the Mixology one, and while parts of it were interesting, it wasn't what I expected. A lot of some of the drinks they made required professional equipment (like a CO2 canister to make foams). And I don't have liquid nitrogen on hand to make my own Dippin' Dots.

Would I pay the prices that were posted for this year? Not sure. Last year was quite a bargain. I don't think the price this year is worth it unless they included more food and beverage stations. The point is moot for me this year because I canceled my usual October trip.

I'm trying to get a feel for how many hours the causeway is open to us as wristband holders. This is our deal, we won't be attending any of the seminars, not real big drinkers (except for the occasional tequila shots....lol) and mainly are interested in tasting the different food creations.

But, if there are 9 food stations and 18 beverage stations.... If there are only say 4-6 hours that the causeway serves, it may not be a great idea for us. Still trying to figure out the approximate causeway hours.....

I purchased tickets yesterday and my information states that the causeway will be open from 5:30pm-9:30pm.

Do you have a link to the site where you bought your tickets/wristband?

www.swandolphinfoodandwineclassic.com/

But they have replaced the page with the one they put up after last years event... I wonder why? Yesterday the page had been updated with this years events, seminars etc.

I also went directly to the Brown Paper Tickets website which is where the link to purchase took me yesterday and the event isn't even listed anymore, weird. Hopefully there won't be an issue with my purchase. Guess I better print out my receipt.

Thanks, Kim! I would certainly print out your receipt since the site disappeared!

The page seems to be back up and working now.

Ugh...I'm still getting the old site from last year. I'm getting anxious for info!

We were going to stay at the Swolphin, but with the increase in price and the fact that we live 20 minutes from property, we're just going to get wristbands.
