Hey there, hi there, ho there! I'm so excited--just booked our airfare so our November trip to DL is a GO!
We will be staying at Grand Californian and bringing my parents (shh--it's a surprise--don't tell them! :) )
My family of four was last at DL in December of '05. What neat and exciting new things at DL can we expect to see this time 'round?
And what must-do's can you recommend for my senior age parents who have never even been to California, let alone Disneyland? (We're spending three nights in DL and three nights in San Diego.)
Thanks--this board is the best! :cool1:

Well, the more obvious additions would be the Monsters, Inc ride over at California Adventure, the Nemo subs at DL, and the revamped Tom Sawyer Island (themed for pirates now).

I'd suggest taking some time to enjoy the Grand Californian. We love eating at Storyteller's (breakfast or dinner). We also love to go hot tub before a day in the parks. Since you are staying there, you can use their entrance to California Adventure 1/2 hour before it actually opens--which is a great time to ride Soarin' before it gets crowded. Also, as a hotel guest, you get early entry at Disneyland every day that it is offered (I think Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday--but I could be wrong).

Have a great trip!

Make sure to ride the Haunted Mansion. It's been updated with a new storyline since your last trip.
