I listened to a podcast a few weeks ago where Pete took his neice to the park and she insisted on seeing the princess' shoes. He said he didn't look.

Well, the curiosity is killing me! Does anyone know? Any pictures? :)

Thanks! Help a girl out!

All the ones I've noticed that had to walk around the parks had simple black ballet flats on.

I really hope that Cinderella wears something better than just ballet flats. Shouldn't she wear something based on the glass slippers?

I think you need to venture to other parts of the Dis Boards.

In each section, you will find a thread about the "best, "most comfortable", "perfect for correcting XXXX condition", "water proof", "Crocs are uglier than your mama" thread about which shoes are the best for WDW.

Non of them suggest glass.:scared1:

A Princes can not work the crowd in glass shoes. OSHA laws and all......(right Jack????.....he knows stuff like this.)

I would think a Diva....such as yourself would know better.

If glass shoes were allowed, "the Reak Houswives of WDW" would all be wearing them.

After a busy emotional day......this seems funny at 12:20am.

If by the light of day, it comes across as rude or snide....I promise you it wasn't intended that way.

This came across quite funny Kevin. Nothing to apologize for here. I actually started to write something very similar but for some reason didn't wind up posting it.

As far as your emotional day goes...:grouphug:

Most of the times I've noticed, the princesses and other female characters have been wearing what are literally known as "character shoes". They are very common in theatre and other performing arts. Supportive & easy to move in.

I think diamond encrusted Loubuitons would be AWESOME! With the price of admission, Disney could certainly afford them... ;)

They wear shirt theater heals or flats in nude or black. Nothing to special. The giant dresses and hoops usually keep them hidden. I think characters like jasmine and meg have a special sandal like shoe they wear. Wish I had a picture!!!:confused3

What is a shirt theater heel? I've never heard of those. They look like character shoes to me... :confused3

Cinderella wears Silver character heels (like the ones pictured in sayhello's post). There's a video on youtube where a little girl keeps trying to peek under Cinderella's dress to see her glass slippers, it's really adorable- but you see that she just wears silver shoes.

Here's that video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EOden6nW1Kg

But most just wear tan or black character heels. Jasmine wears gold "genie shoes" - flats with the turned up toe.

Loving the comments. My princess prefers fuchsia crocs with her Belle dress and red crocs with her Snow White dress.

When I asked Cinderella what shoes she was wearing when we dined at 1900 Park Faire one evening, she was wearing silver shoes exactly like those pictured above. She said her glass slippers were too fragile to wear everyday and she mentioned that they have on occassion given her a blister or two. I thought she was amusing. It was a one on one conversation so she could off-script a little bit.

Haha thats great! I'll have to see for myself some time :) :rotfl:

Wow...I've never thought to look....I guess I will have to next time.

I thought I saw Snow White's shoes before. Now I can't remember what they looked like. Did she have black character shoes or the yellow shoes with red bows? This will drive me crazy now.

My DD asked Cinderella at the Theater in MK a few weeks ago.
She was wearing the silver shoes like SamIAm saw.
She told DD that she could not wear the glass slippers because one got broken when the maidens of the kingdom were trying them on (just like in the movie).

That is why I'm proud to know Jack. :thumbsup2

Oh, goodness, I missed the earlier reference and now I'm being dragged into a discussion about shoe safety. I know some safety paranoid employers who will not permit any employee (including females) to wear open toed, straps, or heels higher than an inch. Talk about upsetting a whole class of employees! I learned quickly to stay out of the discussion altogether. :rolleyes1 Telling a woman what shoes to wear or not is like suggesting she change her hair style. It is a subject I fear to tread. ;)
