Summer is never long enough for me and we have lots of trips with the camper planned!!

March 22-27 @ Fort Wilderness (first time))

May 23-26 @ Sterling State Park, MI

May 30 - June 1 @ Hidden Ridge RV Resort, Hopkins MI

June 20-22 @ Lake Chemung, Howell MI

July 2 - July 6 in Oscoda MI

July 11 - 13 @ either Maumee State Park, OH or Harbortown Resort, Monroe MI

July 21 - 26 @ Lake Chemung, Howell MI

August 1 - 9 on Rose Lake in Coldwater MI

Labor Day weekend - TBD

Sept 19 - 21 @ Sunny Brook RV Resort, Grand Haven MI

October 10-12 @ Hidden Ridge RV Resort, Hopkins MI

We are going to Ocean Lakes for the first time in May. We are going because we are considering storing our camper there for the winter. (We can't use it with all of the ice and snow we've been getting here!) What do you think of Ocean Lakes? Thanks!

the only planned camping trip for us is going to be peninsula state park in door county, wi. in september.

otherwise, camping in the field at our house and who knows where else..

with the fuel prices going up we invite friends over with their campers for the weekends we stay home.

I love your bike pet carrier! Where can I get one for my 4-legged kids?

I am in California, so we won't be going to the Fort, but I liked to join in with our camping trips, if you don't mind We haven't been able to travel out of state with our trailer, but hopefully soon. I would love to visit Yellowstone and Yosemite.

Another PA resident here!!! I am in between Altoona and Johnstown!

I will not be at FW this year!

I will however be going to:

Lake Harrison, Ohio, on May 2-4

Prince Gallitzin State Park, PA, for a cabin on Memorial Day.

Bald Eagle State Park, PA June 13-15

Tent camping back at Prince Gallitzin on July 25-27

Black Moshannon State Park, PA August 8-11

Prince Gallitzin State Park, PA for a cabin again on August 22-25

And occassional trip on a whim as they occur within 20 miles of home since we can't afford the gas to go any further!

Another PA camper here! I'll be hitting Prince Gallitzin in late July as well (also tent camping). Mostly I'm sticking around home for my camping excursions this year since it will be DD5 first year of camping with me. We plan on hitting Kooser SP, Laurel Hill SP and a "long" trip to Caldonia SP.

That sure is alot of camping and sounds like loads of fun. We have to cancel all camping this year including the 2 trips to Fort Wilderness. Oh well, maybe next year.

March ... 17th Boondocking at Piedmont Park

Carol, could you elaborate on Boondocking at Piedmont Park? Is that THE Piedmont Park in Atlanta? Do they let you do that there?

So far we have:

Spring Break--Ft. Wilderness
Memorial Day--Cape Canaveral
July 4th Week--Ft. Wilderness
Labor Day--Ft. Desoto Beach
MNSSHP--Ft. Wilderness
December 20-31--Ft. Wilderness

There may be additional weekend trips that come up in the remaining months as usual. There are two additional Southeastern Airstream rallies we usually go to, but the conflict with other plans we have. Last year we took 6 one week-long trips to the Fort. This year we decided we needed to scale back!

We'll be at Fort Wildrness June 9 - 21st. Other than that we are very spontaneous campers. If the weather looks ok, we just up and go in whatever direction we feel like. We are chomping at the bit to get out this spring though, It's been a looooong cold winter. We got a , new to us, pop up last fall and have only opened it up once since we bought it, so we're ready! I'll have to put up the lime green Mickeys so all you other Diser's out there can find us.

Carol, could you elaborate on Boondocking at Piedmont Park? Is that THE Piedmont Park in Atlanta? Do they let you do that there?

Actually, it's in Piedmont, AL (near Anniston). I think it's a youth sports complex that the scout leaders have made arrangements for the troop to tent camp there. They are starting the bike trip in Atlanta and biking to Anniston.

We've only got one trip definitely planned so far, but 2 other ones that we're working on/considering.

May 8 to May 12 -- Ft. Wilderness

July 1/2 to July 6 -- Ft. Wilderness or Letchworth SP, NY

Oct. 30/31 to Nov 2/3 -- Ft. Wilderness

Might go some place else too for a quick w/e getaway, but that's all we're looking at so far this year.

August 15-17 Countryside RV Park, CT (about 20 min away from Foxwoods)

November 22 - December 5th FTW

This will be our first trip down there in our camper. Last year was our inaugural year and we camped for 13 weekends. We were staying local, but with gas prices and the Disney trip, we went with only 1 trip a month

LOL Being the (ahem) smart man that he is, we just bought our first camper! Brand new Travelstar Hybrid, so we're REALLY excited about camping this year. (I just wish the price of gas would drop, but what are you gonna do)

Anyway, plans so far are:

May (two wknds) ~ Wells, Maine
June (two wknds) ~ Springfield, MA
July (one week) ~ Wells, Maine
August (four days) ~ Cape Cod, MA
September (one wkend) ~ ?? hopefully Normandy Farms, Foxboro, MA
October (two wkends) ~ White Mountains, NH
and the big one ~~~ (sadly not until April '09) Fort Wilderness!! YAHOO!!!!
