What is the Playhouse Disney Character Meal? Where is it?

Nevermind, I found the info. To bad it doesn't start until June. We will be there in May and DS3 loves the Little Einsteins.

My boys were ready for a Toy Story meal. They think Playhouse Disney is for babies. Since there isn't a Disney character meal they are interested in, we booked the Spiderman Breakfast at IOA.

I think Disney wasted a great opportunity to link a character breakfast/lunch to the movie theme in MGM plus make it a MUST meal for families with boys. Toy Story, the Incredibles or even a villain meal would be a great fit for the studios plus appeal to ALL ages, not just the toddler/preschool demographic. It makes you wonder how much the Disney planners know about their prospective audience. :confused3

I think they goofed. Seriously...Playhouse Disney? Aimed at kids who eat about $3 of food at best let alone trying to see their characters....I just don't know how many parents are gonna go for this, I agree, something more for boys of all ages or villians again....

Actually Disney was trying to get Toy Story but things didn't work out.
Maybe they still will.

We're Bummed here though. I really would love to see Toy Story, Incredibles, or Monster's Inc.

We can't fault them for trying to meet the demand for a Toy Story meal, but I have to question why go with a meal that appeals to a target audience that may want nothing to do with the characters they're dining with.

where is the info on this meal??

One big mistake! Id rather they just brought back the old Hollywood and Vine character breakfast. :sad2:

I too would like to know where the info on the meal is.

I put I would try it once than that is it. I still have one little one so it would be good for him but not for much longer.

I agree there are no boys meals but this one is at least not directed to only girls like the princesses

"NO WAY!!!!!!"

In his humble (8 year old) opinion, girls are gross (and that would include princesses), Mickey and pals are OK...but, been there, done that! Why not villans...or something for boys.

Please Disney...and we know you read these boards....give us mom's who only have boys a character meal experience for them. You know, boys make up about 1/2 the population (the other 1/2 being girls)....how can you miss a HUGE target audience like that?

:confused3 :confused3 :confused3 :confused3 :confused3 :confuse

Well I had to vote for 2 answers. I said I am willing to try it out, though it was not my first choice, and Disney, what about the BOYS???!!!

While I know my DS is really going to like it, there will only be a small window of trips we will be able to do a Playhouse Disney character meal. Once my DS gets a bit older, he wont be interested in it (though when we have another child, he will have to endure it...LOL!).

So while, I think it is great that there will be something NON-Princess related for my boy, I wish Disney would have put in a meal that would have lasted longer for kids. I cant see an 8 year old wanting to do the Playhouse Disney meal.

But I can see a 3 year old boy (which is my DS), and an 8 year old boy, BOTH enjoying a Toy Story or Monsters Inc meal.

Disney needs to do some more things for the boys.

But, I am pretty happy my DS will get to eat at this meal this trip.

It starts on June 25th and we check out on the 27th. Our MGM day is already earlier in the week, so I guess we are sorta out of luck.

Yep. My sentiments exactly. I don't have little kids or boys, but I think it's high time they evened the score with a boys character meal. The princesses have had their place in the sun forever, equal time is in order.

Here's the info...
