you can also go to busch gardens for free - and since you have a car, you could actually do it..
i've never been there, but i've heard it's nice....and it's free, so you can't beat the price.

BG is lovely,but quite a distance and has money is tight, might not be worth the fuel
goodluck, i am probably the only person who would not want to be stuck over there, its my asd tendancies, i couldnt cope with not knowing and the stress.
i read somewhere that a family was paying $400 night for a hotel room, my CC would soon be expired at that spped, add food and its soon gone

as long as everyone is safe, clean and feed, everything else is a bonus...

you can get a cheaper room than that, but in any case, it's still going to be a LOT of money that wasn't budgeted for....terrible...
and the stress....people who can't get back to work, etc etc...

oh well....i guess all that someone can do is try to make the best of a bad situation....

i wonder if there are any travelers' aid groups there that can help people who have hit a credit crunch?
