The touring gods are laughing at me.

I've tried to optimize it and evaluate it from every which angle. I've pulled up the predicted wait times for several attractions. And (assuming TP is close to accurate to begin with), I have to admit ... it's probably right. Given how fast JC waits ratchet up and stay up, and given my other attractions for the day (and the planned FPs for things like 7DMT), it makes sense, it really does. But it's painful! Painful, I tell you! I want nothing more than to run to BTMR and ride it 3 times right out of the gate and then hit splash and HM, which we will do ... after RDing JC.

Yes, yes, I know, I will not get a fine or serve jail time for violating a Disney TP and doing what I want instead (unless you count increased wait times as a fine).

Yes, I know people love JC - I am just not one of them. I will defend Tomorrowland Speedway, but not JC.

Maybe the kids will give me an out and tell me they don't want to ride it .. yeah right.

The previous (hopefully) humorous rant brought to you by sleep deprivation and the impeding doom of my Mon FP selection window.

So anyone else have something in their plan that makes them cringe?

I would go ride BTMRR 3 times then go to JC. The line will still be manageable.

I always create my own personalized plans and evaluate, but I don't optimize. I'll do things the way I want, dammit! Who are they to tell me otherwise?

(Granted I have a good understanding of which rides have the longest waits and and at what time of day... but still.)

I say, RD BTM and ride the hell out of it! Be a rebel!

Also... I always wait until toward the end of the day to ride JC. It's my little secret. Wait times drop off, it's not the heat of the day... catch it around dusk and it's a wonderful experience.

I have RDed Jungle Cruise. Followed by Pirates, Splash, and BTMR, all as walk-ons. That whole side of the park seems to stay pretty dead for a bit, so you could probably RD JC and still get on BTMR 3 times with minimal waits. Or just throw the touring plan out the window and do whatever you want - you're at Disney!

I'm not paying for it (at the moment). You can create personalized plans for free. You just have to have an account.

It's worth paying for the Lines app alone. I love being able to check my touring plan and see at a glance what the waits of all the rides are. It's a commando tourist's dream come true.

That's very similar to what we're doing. It's just more efficient to put JC before Splash.

Because putting JC (which we planned to ride anyway) before BTMR saves about 20 minutes of waiting in line which allows us to get in at least one more ride before things start to get busy. My post is tongue-in-cheek. I want to do BTMR first but I want to get more walk-on rides in more. If I didn't know which way was more efficient, I wouldn't be making an informed choice, which, hey, it's vacation so maybe it doesn't matter, but I do want to get my money's worth (and yes, there is the caveat of not truly knowing how accurate this is, but they do have a good track record and a lot of math behind them). YMMV.
