So unhappy with Disneyshopping!

I placed an order at disneyshopping back on 12/9. It was for 6 items - all pretty big ticket items. I think my bill came to about $125...and that was after using a 40% off coupon code.

I kept checking the status of the order, but it just shipped on 12/19! So someone "sat" on it for 10 days? I emailed guest services, and they came back and told me to expect it 12/28! It states on their website as long as the order was placed by 12/16, it would be received in time for Christmas. I am FURIOUS!!

So what do I do on Christmas, when my 2 and 4 year olds are crying because they didn't get what they asked for?

How do I get compensation from Disney for this? I can see if I had waited until last minute, but more than two weeks out isn't last minute, IMHO.

I ordered about $300 worth of stuff with the same promo and got mine all this week...

I would call someone...
not that there would be much they can do at this point I quess...

what kind of compensation are you looking for?

is there a tracking number provided?
 
If I have to go out and buy presents to replace the ones that aren't going to arrive in time...I at least want shipping labels so I don't have to pay to have the crap shipped back to them.

They emailed me tracking numbers with links to a Fed-Ex website. Fed-Ex tells me that they aren't accurate numbers.

I called the customer service center and talked to a person that told me that I would have them by 12/24. She told me she couldn't track the order either, but she was "sure" I'd have it by Christmas. It was after that I received the email with tracking numbers and an anticipated delivery date of 12/28.
 

Their website is really messed up right now. I placed an order using that same code on the 14th. Yesterday the website showed it as being shipped on the 15th with a Fedex tracking number--no email & the tracking number is showing up as invalid on the Fedex site. Today, I can't even get the shipping info much less the tracking number off the website. :rolleyes:

It's not a major deal for me because the item was a Christmas present to myself ( :rolleyes1 ), but in your case, I'd be on the phone with them raising holy hell. I really hope it works out for you! :grouphug:
 
Speak of the devil---my order just arrived, less than 5 minutes after I posted that.

I'm a bit peeved though--like I said, the website said Fedex & gave a tracking number. Guess how it was actually shipped? USPS. And since it was a snowglobe I had ordered, when I saw it was shipping Fedex (supposedly), I breathed a bit easier. My mailman is known for mishandling boxes. So you can imagine how I felt when it was my mailman dropping off the box that I thought was shipping Fedex!

Luckily the snowglobe arrived fully intact, but I don't think I'll be ordering one online anymore if that's how Disney's going to ship them.
 
I had a lot of trouble with them. They don't really use FedEx, it is some weird half-assed method where FedEx ships it to a post office in your area, then it has to go thru them and be delivered by the mailman. I ordered something on 12/5, got the info and tracked the package until it was in New Berlin, Wi for some reason (I live in the 'burbs of Chicago) on 12/8 then nothing. I called and the woman explained the weird system. It took another 8 days to get here, finally arriving on 12/16.

I don't think I will order from them again, too much of a hassle. :wizard: here's hoping your stuff gets here in time.

Hey, don't knock New Berlin. That's where my parents live, it rocks! I don't get why there though, why not the airport post office. Fedex and the post office are about 4 blocks away there.... Go figure.
 
Thanks! I'm glad that you got your order, Brianne! I don't know whether to run out and buy something "just in case" or hold my breath and hope that it gets here in time.

No knock on New Berlin!! :p Just bizzare considering where I live, I absolutely can't figure out the routing decision on that one!

BTW, they won't do anything for you until it is "missing" 10 business days, not very holiday like if you ask me. As I said, last order from this house.
 
I had placed an order the day after Thanksgiving, and my whole order got messed up. Out of the 7 items I ordered, I got only 1 of the 7 items in a huge box all by itself with a packing list for the other 6 items. When I called DisneyDirect, they then thought that'd be a great time to tell me my one big ticket item was backordered until Mid-January while on the website it clearly stated that this item if ordered by 12/6 would be received for Christmas.

I share in your displeasure with them and probably won't be using them again any time soon. I did eventually get my order straightened out, however it was a real hassle. I've had a lot of luck with anyone else i've ordered this year online except for DisneyDirect.
 
You don't have a PO Box do you? I ordered back before Thanksgiving, and my order still hadn't arrived after a week, and they almost always arrive within 4 or 5 days. Came to find they got marked to be shipped fed-ex, which does not deliver to PO Boxes, and so when they had realized their mistake they had to start the shipping process over to send it correctly.
 
Now you guys are scaring me!

All my 2 year old Princess wants is the Princess wedding castle for Christmas - and I know I can't get it anywhere around here.

No PO Box...just my home address.
 
Renee - I would call them back and tell them in no uncertain terms that you need that stuff by the 24th & they can jolly well ship it "overnight" since they screwed up! You'll just refuse the package that comes on the 28th - it will get returned to them, unopened.

This is the Disney Catalogue - right? DH & I have each ordered stuff this Holiday season and have gotten everything. Sorry you're having so much trouble.
 
I placed an order on 12/16 and I just got the confirmation it will be delivered on 12/23. Mine is being shipped UPS. Hope yours arrives in time.
 
Regarding the whole tracking number thing. People can give you tracking numbers before they are in the "system" Think of it as a pre printed label that gets put on a package before its sent off. Give it 12 to 24 hours before checking on it via a tacking number.
