Okay, it was 10 years ago and Maria's just finding out now? I think she probably knew that Arnold had affairs. I wonder if there are any more children? I wouldn't worry about the kid - how cool is that to find out that your father is the Terminator? Hopefully Arnold's other children will accept this one as a sibling. Does anyone know the status of the mother of this child? Is she married, have other kids, etc.?

Its really sad- Where I work is 95 percent male and it never ceases to amaze me the percentage of them that cheat- they way outnumber the non-cheaters!! !

Presumably the women who sleep with these married men are not married or in a committed relationship themselves, so they are not technically "cheating," since they have no one to cheat on (other than themselves, but that's another story...).

Well in this case Maria was the "Kennedy" and it wasn't her cheating.

Not really for their family, and my heart is heavy for Maria Shriver, their children, her famiy. But I did chuckle a little when I read it.
It is kind of ironic though, it does make me think of the movie he did "Jingle All the Way" where Arnold's character becomes the hero Turbo Man and he saves his son and his son says he doesn't need the coveted action figure because his dad is the real Turbo Man.--not exactly the "hero" ending the for the boy.

Yep, if I found out my DH was cheating, I would feel betrayed by HIM. The "other woman" never made a commitment to me. Certainly what she did was wrong, but I don't get these people who direct all their anger at the person their spouse was cheating with (unless it was a friend or family member).

I have a feeling that there were numerous infidelities during the course of their marriage, but being raised a Kennedy, she probably figured that it was a given for a man to do this and that it was the woman's job to stand by her man.

Glad she put herself and her children first though and is getting out of that situation. Rumor has it that her children are behind her in her decision.

I agree. If I found out that my DH had fathered a child with someone recently or years ago, I dont think I could ever get over the betrayal. Then again, if I knew he was a player and had cheated before I would not have been around when this happened.

Like someone said, if you are going to cheat, just leave. Why put anyone through that kind of pain?

Oh I know. I just don't think that it is the right thing to do because someone is bound to get hurt. It's not fair to the other person unless they have an agreement or something, which would be odd, but I have heard of it before.

But to have someone who works for you and your family give birth to a child only to find out years later that it's your husbands, that would hurt because she was betrayed by both of them for so many years. The other ladies husband and family was also betrayed. It's a very sad situation.

She didn't stand by her man. She left her man, and good for her. I think it's ridiculous that women stand by their husband's sides during these news conferences while they say how "sorry" they are they got caught with their pants down.

Not only that the bio dad is a married cheater & that the father he knew isn't his, but how about that his own mother cheated on her husband (his "dad"), lied to them both and kept up the lie for 10 years!! That poor child better start therapy today!
