I have been trying so hard to get Character dinning for DD, and so far, I think I got very lucky.. but I think I'm getting to a point where I'm happy with what I have.. It could've been better, but no point of wasting hours online for maybe, mabye not, betters ADRs..

Here is what I have, and I'm done, done, DONE!!! I want to focus on other stuff and just enjoy our trip!! Please tell me what you think? I feel that I did a good job finding ADRs for a last minute trip, specifically since I didn't know what's an ADR two weeks ago! :rotfl:

We arrive late 5/10

5/11 - Crystal Palace - Dinner at 3:20
5/12 - Akershus - Dinner at 8:20 (we are doing BBB at DTD earlier that day)
5/13 - Boma - Dinner at 6:05
5/14 - CRT - Breakfast at 9:35 (mommy and daughter only)
5/15 - MM F! Package Dinner
5/16- Marrakesh for Lunch (1:05) - Chef Micky - Dinner 7:50
5/17- Cape May Cafe - Breakfast 10:50

We leave later that day!

I do have one last decision to make. On the 17th, I have another Breakfast ADR for 1900 at 9:45.. I like it more because it's earlier. And since we were able to get CM, 1900 will be different. (The reason I got Cape May Cafe is so DD can see Minnie).. At the same time, there are great reviews for Cape May Cafe, so I'm not sure! Any advice?

We have the DDP, but I paid the CRT OOP, since it's just me and DD, and I didn't want to lose 2 TS, while DH still had his.

I'm so happy about our schedule and really can't wait!!

Basically, please don't give up if you want a specific ADR! I got all most of these ADRs in the past few days.. There were multiple openings for the F! dinner packages on the 15th earlier today.. I just looked again, and there are none. But I'm sure people will keep cancelling as the dates approach!

Update:

So much for being done checking for ADRs :rotfl:

I have changed my ADRs around, looking 700 times a day really pays off ;)

Whaccha think of my new ADRs:
5/11 - Crystal Palace breakfast at 8:10 am and Chef Mickey dinner at 5:15 PM
5/12 - BBB at 1:55 (DTD) Akershus dinner at 7:55
5/13 - Rain Forest Cafe at 12:45 PM, Boma - Dinner at 7 PM
5/14 - CRT - Breakfast at 9:35 (mommy and daughter only)
5/15 - Hollywood & Vine reakfast at 8:00 am and MM F! Package Dinner
5/16- Garden Grill Dinner at 5:15 PM
5/17- 1900 Park Fare breakfast at 9:45 am, spend a few hours at MK, then head home.. Boo!!

We will pay OOP for a couple of these reservations (rain forest cafe and one more), but I think that it will be worth it.. we have a baby and I don't want to wait in long lines to meet characters. The only meet and greet we are doing is Rapunzel, but it should be fine, since we have the CP reservation at 8:10 am.. we are hoping to be standing in line before 9am.

I appreciate the feedbacks and the pictures. I love the pillow case idea, so neat!!

Wow, you've done great on ADRs for only a month out! Especially with scoring the CRT.
One bonus of all those character meals ADRs, you won't have to wait in the lines for character pics and autographs.
I did the Donald breakfast in Animal Kingdom with my older son, because it was the one character he wanted that we had trouble finding in the parks.
Enjoy your trip :)

the CRT was thanks to a member here, who posted about cancelling her own reservations, and I was able to score them!! So lucky that I was checking the thread the same time she posted.

Thank you!!!

they look great!! I am in the same place as you - tired of checking constantly and am pretty happy with what I have. I decided I will keep looking for Chef Mickey but only for the night it works best for me, not checking for every single night/morning like I was doing before.

Tonight a Chef Mickey for 5/18 opened up, unfortunately its too late a time for me but I know someone will get lucky and snag it (its posted in the May cancellation thread) so I totally agree with KEEP CHECKING if you really want something!!

And I'm one of the ones who recently cancelled a 5/15 F! package. :lmao:

I suggest you skip Cape May Cafe and go to 1900 Park Fare instead. The food is delicious at both (maybe the best food of all character breakfasts) but 1900 Park Fare, like you said, has different characters. Mary Poppins was great! The Mad Hatter is hilarious, well.... he's mad crazy. The fact characters can be a lot of fun since they talk....

Cape May Cafe has Minnie, Goofy, and Donald.... and you should see them at Chef Mickey's already. Cape May Cafe was just your regular old table meet and greets -- nothing special.

For other character breakfasts, did you consider Hollywood and Vine? Very nice for younger children. I didn't care much for the lunch food, but breakfast was good enough -- they have Mickey waffles! The character interaction is fun. Agent Oso, Handy Manny, June and Leo (Einsteins) danced with the cast members and children to Playhouse Disney (Jr.) music. DS loved this at age 4 and 5. Always rumors that June and Leo might change too.

By the way... although Marrakesh doesn't get consistently positive reviews... we had a great time there in 2009... great food and service, 2 great musicians, and the belly dancer was great with children who wanted to take a try at belly dancing on the floor with her! On my list for this year's trip.

Thanks for the feedback!

I decided to go with Garden Grill instead of CM on the 16th.. Doesn't Mickey show on GG as well? I could've sworn I saw that somewhere.. but now looking at the GG page, I only see Chip and Dale!

It sounds like 1900 is something that we don't want to miss... Hmmmmm

I hate to admit.. but I've been looking all night yesterday, and this morning! And I've changed a few reservations around.. Sigh!! I was able to get an Akershus a little earlier, same day. I also booked breakfast on the 15th at Hollywood and Vine.. it sounds fun, besides.. it will get us to the park before opening! So hopefully it will help get DD on all the rides she wants.

NJDisneymom - It's probably yours that I got!! Thanks for canceling

You did awesome....congrats on getting everything you wanted (well almost everything) at such a short notice. We love, love, LOVE Cape May Cafe breakfast and is a must do each trip. However, the breakfast at 1900 Park Fare is really good too. We did this for the first time in September and my DD9 asked if we could go back for our upcoming trip, that was actually the only request that she had when I was planning out all of our meals. So whichever one you decide will be fine because they are both really good in food and character interaction.

I know what you mean when you say you are done with ADRs. We leave next Thursday and we still had 1 more DDP credit to use up. I wanted to leave it alone and use it as a CS meal for whenever we are in a park and we get hungry, but my DH (who BTW has become more obsessive with ADRs and planning this trip than I am) wanted to make one more TS meal for our departure day since we will be at Epcot all day before heading back to catch the ME. Everytime I thought of places, I would change my mind because I feel like I have hit a wall with our ADRs. We have the perfect plan with the perfect times and I don't want to change a thing. Anyway, sorry for the rant...hope you and your family have an awesome trip :goodvibes

I should have mentioned Garden Grill too! Loved that place this past Dec. 2010. It's Chip and Dale, Mickey, and Pluto. (farmer Mickey). The food was good enough... this is on our must do every trip now. For anyone doing Garden Grill, be sure to do the Living with the Land attraction too... one goes with the other. Be sure to kid around with Chip and Dale (they are nuts!) Check out my review of Garden Grill with Pictures.

On my 1st trip, other people planned it so we only had 2 character meals but DS (and me...) really enjoyed meeting the characters in the parks. On our following trips, we went character crazy! For autographs... the books are fine, but we really liked getting shirts signed in 2009... but even better in 2010... we brought pillow shams/cases. Below are pictures.

I scaled back on characters for this trip. For us, it got to be too much last trip (we did Tusker House breakfast, Chef Mickey, Play & Vine breakfast, Crystal Palace)

I only say it was too much b/c some of the characters repeated (Mickey, Goofy, etc.)...DS thought it was kind of strange when Mickey wanted to sign his book AGAIN...he looked disappointed that Mickey didn't remember him (he got over it quickly though :lmao:). I would imagine this would be even harder with the princess meals since they are face characters.
