So this is what mid-life crisis feels like? Dec 2011 PTR

Gorgeous dining room set!

Awesome Disney stash of shirts! :thumbsup2

Cute little football players! DS6 just had me sign him up for flag football. Haven't gotten the call yet but he is soooo excited!

Thank you on all counts! AND you will love watching him play flag football. That's where my boys started (1st grade) and they are so stinking cute and I have a feeling you will be a 'competitive mom.' :lmao: Just based off of your interactions with your siblings. :goodvibes It's fun and it's hilarious to watch all of the learning 'oops' when they run the wrong way, etc.

Love the dining room set. I have a thing for the darker woods!

All y'alls shirts are awesome!

Thank you!! :goodvibes

I'm so far behind everyone's PTRs, I've got no hope to catch up.

I'm going to make a concious effort to get in here a bit more.

Just wanted to say .

I understand! I think we are all so busy with work and school kicking back in, etc. The 'busy'ness does seem to make the time fly by though! I can't believe our trips are as close as they are!! :yay:

Okay... honest answer here... do you think my boys would think this was cool or are they too old? Nate will have just turned 9 and Nolan will be 10 on our trip... I just think it looks like so much fun. I even think Erin would do it if coerced... :rotfl:

I can't answer that because they NEVER had that COOL stuff when my boys were younger. :sad2:

I'm tempted... we would have time on our MK day which is concurrent with the MVMCP - wonder if it would be appropriate to go to dinner at 1900 Park Fare with pirates in tow... :rotfl:

Do you have to pay in advance for it? Maybe make the reservations and then ask them about it and if they don't want to do it, you can cancel it.

So this morning, for some reason Erin was ready before me which NEVER happens... :confused3 :rotfl: and I was in my bathroom working on my hair when I hear "Snow White" playing on the television. I peeked around the corner and she'd found that movie on Disney channel and was completely engrossed. Was a sweet moment and I just can hardly wait for us to leave for our trip! :goodvibes

I caught my boys watching it the other night...:rotfl: and they said they did not want to do any princess movie nights!

That is such a hard age with the boys. If they are into pirates at all, I would think maybe they might like it... however.... I think maybe booking (without paying) and being prepared to cancel might be the best idea.

Too cute on the Snow White. I know Disney has been playing a lot of neat movies lately.

My boys are completely into Tangled right now... they'd never admit it but have watched it over and over and over... :rotfl:

I think I will look into reserving and being able to cancel later.

Nothing new on the trip front today - going to see if I can find any Christmas items... look at some luggage... but that's about it.

I had my monthly board meeting last night of which I reside as the treasurer for the youth football organization that my kids participate in - it consists of 14 towns and typically, I'm the 'lone girl' but they are all pretty even natured guys and respect what I do for the league - details... :rotfl: I think they are happy to not have to mess with that part of the league that keeps us in compliance with mandated laws, etc.

Anyway - one town brought one of their coaches with them - he was a guest, does not have a voice in matters being discussed that do not pertain to him. Each town has a coordinator that speaks on their town's behalf and so forth. Anyway - this guy's ego barely fit into the room. I left completely frustrated with the simple fact there are ______ <omit what I'm really thinking> that are 'living the dream' through a youth program. Seriously... if he was so wonderful, why is he coaching 10 and 11 year old boys? :headache: I held my tongue, kept it business as usual and basically ignored his snide, rude remarks. I believe our President was going request he not come to spectate next time.

Just thinking out loud... happy to vent that out and I am sure I will be :cheer2: for any team who is up against his. :rolleyes1

Amy, we had SEVERAL of those when I was the Secretary of our Youth Football Association. The problem is they WERE NOT that good, and they live through their children's success. It truly is very sad.

Gotta love know it alls...I had 3 in my trainings this week and they have worn me out. Can't fix stupid....that is my motto!

That's exactly what I perceive in this scenario, as well... and therefore... reverting to Tammie's comment below... :rotfl:

Today is Eddie's 42nd birthday! So I get to update our 'signature' and that leaves just Mr. Nate to have his birthday Dec. 3rd and then we are at the ages we will be when we leave for our trip! :goodvibes

Eddie has a high school game tonight - Friday night lights - but it's a home game so we are looking forward to not having to travel anywhere. Coach's and families will come over after game, win or lose, and we will have a little party. Then tomorrow, the boys both play on the road so I'm hopeful to get house cleaning done today - maybe some laundry - games tomorrow and then on Sunday try to take the kids to the matinee or something... hopefully there's something playing that is worthy of the price! ;)

On a sad note.. we lost a dear friend today to leukemia. He's been battling it for about 2 years, finally had a bone marrow transplant (his sister was a match) and unfortunately his body began to reject it, infections set in and he was sent home with hospice earlier in the week. We are just heartbroken for his wife and sons and ask for anyone willing to pray for strength and comfort for their family. :sad1:

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Happy Birthday, Eddie.

I am so sorry to hear about your friend. My prayers are with the wife and sons and with you too.

Good luck at the football games. We are off to Dubuque, Iowa, for a fundraiser for the high school where our son coaches. They are "roasting" him for the fundraiser (like the old Dean Martin roasts).

Thank you Kathy! Can't wait to hear some of the 'roasting comments' about your son! I would anticipate he's a favorite amongst his athletes just based off of your pictures, information you give about your boys! :goodvibes

:headache: I hate guys like that. Very frustrating. You are better than me, cause you are sticking it out. I would likely quit.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your friend. I will pray that the family has strength and peace.

And... good luck with everything tonight. Win or lose, it sounds like a fun but busy evening!
