I've been thinking of making invites for the kids too. I'll have to see what I can come up with

I've seen some great ones on the forums and had to have some made for our trip!
I think it's a great touch, and will be a good way to tell my niece where we are going.

I've seen so many updates with great buys lately.
I think I may need to limit my shopping now...

HELLO!




I haven't done much "life" updating in my posts,
But I decided that I'll give it a try.
I'm currently in a pretty bored state (it's "senioritis" all over again)
Spring Break is over and it's back to school...
But graduation is SO close.
I recieved the acceptance letter to my Master's Counseling program last week,
So, I'll be starting that in the Fall.
These last few weeks of undergrad just seem to be dragging
Spring Break just felt too much like summer...
And now I'm longing for May to get here

Okay, so that was just depressing...

I'll go back to DISNEY updating, now!
I also wanted to post some of the other invites my brother made.

Here is a little background information, as well:
I mentioned previously that he suffered a spinal cord injury.
He is considered a C4 quad, and although he doesn't have use of his arms/hands,
He creates all of his computer artwork using an adaptive mouse that he controls with his mouth.
I'm constantly amazed by his great outlook on life and all-around perseverance.
After his accident, he returned to school and recieved a degree in Graphic Design.
He actually became interested in art as a child after reading a book about Walt Disney
So, needless to say, I love that we get to take this trip together!

not close enough But it gives me plenty of time to make sure we're ready. A few months before we booked our trip, I kept having dreams that we got to disney world and didn't pack anything, or forgot something important (a camera, underwear LOL) so now I'm paranoid we're going to forget something! We'll just be missing each other by a few days. Originally we were going to stay until late on the 27th since my DH doesn't have to be on call for work until noon on the 28th, but the 26th is my mom's birthday, so we're taking an early flight home that day so we can spend time with her.

Magic Kingdom Plans:

Sunday, May 29, 2011


The first thing we will do this morning is check-in at Port Orleans.
I'm hoping that our rooms will all be in the same building...
But I don't know if that request will be met.

We will rest a bit and get dressed for the day.
I plan to leave with Niece and Sister-In-Law to MK at 2:00 PM...
Everyone else is welcome to come, as well...
But I think they'll want to rest a bit longer.
We are leaving earlier to make Niece's BBB appointment.

I plan to have some Photopass pictures taken of the three of us when we arrive.
From there, we will take a stroll down Main Street and just soak it all in

Around 4:00, we will head towards Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique.
Niece will have her Princess makeover
The rest of the family will leave the resort around 5:00.
After the big reveal at BBB, we will have Niece's pictures taken there.
We will then meet up with everyone on Main Street.

At this point we will probably eat dinner at a counter service restaurant.
Most likely it will be either Pinnochio's Village Haus or Casey's Corner.

After dinner, we will head to Fantasyland.
We will try to ride at least one or two attractions.
Dumbo, Tea Cups, Snow White...something that Niece will enjoy.
At 8:00 we will begin looking for a good parade spot.
Then, Main Street Electrical Parade @ 9:00 and Wishes @ 10:00

After the fireworks, anyone is free to go back to POR...
But there are EMHs from 11:00-2:00 AM...
So, I plan on staying for at least a little while.

I will try to ride some of the main attractions with everyone else that stays.

My list of goals:
Pirates of the Caribbean
Splash Mountain
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
The Haunted Mansion
It’s a small world
Peter Pan’s Flight

I guess we'll see how that goes

After that it's back to the resort to get some rest for the next day...
Then, it's off to EPCOT we go!



Those are the first park day plans!
Ahhh, can't wait to be there


Also, after visiting my parents last week I scanned some old Disney pictures.
So, I will be posting them with my daily plans.
Here is my oldest brother, myself, and my Mom at WDW in 1992...

I really like your to do list. Most of your picks are on the left side of the park and they say that it is a really good tip to go to the left when you arrive. In studies they have found that most people will usually go to the right so you will probably miss a lot of the crowds. I say when you first get there run and get FP's for Splash or Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.

You and your bro are such cuties in your pic. Really enjoy seeing them!

Just catching up on the last bit of your PTR and I just have to say WOW, your brother is really creative and talented! I dabble in photo shop and love creating invitations and such myself, and I'm just sitting here trying to picture doing it without the use of my hands. The fact that he does it with his mouth is mind blowing to me.
