50 days to Walt Disney World Dance.

Tuesday, May 31, 2011

This will be an earlier day than the others so far.
There is so much that I want to do in this park.
My family definitely loves movies...so this is our kind of scene.
With the exception of Disney Junior, we want to see all of the shows.
That probably won't happen, but we will try to do as much as we can.

We will wake up early that morning and have breakfast at Riverside Mill.

After that, it's off to the park
The first thing we will do is head straight to Indiana Jones.
This is a must-do for us, especially for my Mom and Middle Brother.
Movie people, remember?

Then, we will head to the Streets of America area.
We will try to do as many of these as possible:

Muppet Vision 3D
Studio Backlot Tour
American Film Showcase
Honey I Shrunk the Kids Movie Set Adventure
Lights, Motors, Action! Extreme Stunt Show (probably won't do this)

Here is a picture of my siblings and I there on my first trip...

We have a lunch ADR at Mama Melrose's.
So, we will head there before 2:20.
The reservation also includes the Fantasmic! Package.

We will then try to go on the Great Movie Ride.
After that we will head to the Sunset Boulevard area.
Hopefully, we will have gotten FastPasses for the busy rides.
We will try to see the Beauty and the Beast show first.

Next up will be the Voyage of the Little Mermaid.
I mentioned before that this was the only memory I have of my first trip.
I was 4 at the time, but I distinctly remember being in the theater.
My Mom and I went without the boys...
And I even remember being misted by the water.

After the trip down memory lane with Ariel, we will attempt TSMM.
I may skip Toy Story (only if I have to) and head with my Middle Brother to...

Walt Disney: One Man’s Dream
and
The Magic of Disney Animation

The art and history elements in these attractions will be great for us.
We will geek out , but I'm not sure if the others will share our joy.
So, if we have to go without them...WE WILL

After that, I will head to the Tower of Terror.
I'm hoping to have a FastPass, but I will wait if I have to
Not sure who will go along with me, but I'm sure I can convince a few of them.

Oh, and I just used this picture to sneak Steve Guttenberg into this PTR


We will probably grab a quick service dinner in this area.
There are a few places to choose from:

We will then head into Fantasmic early enough to grab seats.
From what I've seen of the wheelchair accessible seats...
We may be able to sit all together in the back few rows if we can get them.
Our night will end with Mickey, before heading back to Port Orleans...

And I thought I was tall at 5'7". I guess I will have no problem finding you guys in a crowd. I already got the space alien mickey head paint samples to pin to the bag that will hang from the special needs stroller.

The Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast were my favorite childhood movies(I even had the room decor and posters for both), so I'm excited about seeing both of those shows. I definitely want to get some goodies at Starring Rolls, too! I think we may stop to pick something up to take into Fantasmic.

More Shopping?


Okay, so I may have a little bit of a shopping problem.
I bought a few more items at Michael's.
Most of them were $1.

Also, it seems my family is getting more into "Disney" mode.
My brother and I have made a lot of progress on our planning binder.
We've been e-mailing back and forth getting it together.
I will post pictures when it's all done.
He also told me that my parents watched The Lion King and Beauty and the Beast last night.
I just thought that was cute


Well, here are two pictures of my new purchases and a graphic my brother created.

There are glowsticks, activity books, pens/pencils, a jumprope, and a paddle ball. All $1.

Animal Kingdom Day Plans:


Wednesday, June 1, 2011

This morning will be a little different from the rest.
I have made breakfast reservations for my Niece and I.
So, we will wake up earlier than the others...
And head out to our 9:25 ADR at Tusker House

Sometime after that everyone else will leave for the park.
In the mean time, I will try to take Niece on Kilimanjaro Safaris.
I hear it's great to go really early or really late.

We will meet with the family at the Tree of Life.
I'm hoping to have some Photopass pictures taken there.
(Which reminds me...I need to preorder that!)
We will probably try to see It's Tough to be a Bug, as well.

After that, it's off to Dinoland U.S.A.
I'll try to get a Fastpass for Expedition Everest or Dinosaur.
But, first, we HAVE to see Finding Nemo the Musical

We will explore the other attractions in this area.
Then, have a quick service lunch at Restaurantosaurus.

After riding EE and DINOSAUR, we will go to Camp Minnie Mickey.
We also HAVE to see Festival of the Lion King.
I'm really looking forward to this show

We will probably take some pictures at the Character Meeting Trails.
Then, we may ride Kilomanjaro Safaris with the whole family.

This will be the earliest day to return back to POR.
I'm not sure what we will do this night...
Maybe DTD, maybe eat at the resort, see YeeHaw Bob, go swimming...
We will see, I guess

The only thing that is planned is my Mom's birthday surprise.
A carriage ride at Port Orleans!
That will be for her and my Dad.

I think we may try to go to sleep early this night.
We will have to be up and ready for Magic Kingdom the next day!
