So, this is Disney's answer...

I wonder how long it will last before it's an empty stage in tomorrowland? Has anyone seen that they're extending free dining bokking through the end of July now? Do you think that means they aren't booking rooms like they expected?

You all are blasting this show without even seeing it, and I think that's pretty sad. This is just an intro song to it, and the show itself might be good. So, stop whining and complaining about how bad this show seems and think of all of the amazing attractions that WDW has to offer. Really, stop complaining, you all seem like you're five or something.

And I wouldn't call it Disney's answer to anything. It's just a new show, seriously...

Everyone on here is stating their own opinion...just like you. I wouldn't call it whining. That's the great thing about these boards, you can actually say what you think about something. If someone doesn't like it they certainly don't have to read the thread;)

Thank you for your opinion.

I've watched the entire show, which I'm sure others have to. It's my opinion that it's horrible and not typical of Disney's standards. Sorry you don't feel that people have the right to express their feelings.

Yes, and what I said is my opionion. I am just giving my opinion on your opinion and there's nothing wrong with that either, am I right? :P

I haven't seen the whole show, though we likely will in August. However, from what I saw in that clip, it looks more like the kind of show I would expect to see at our local Six Flags, not what I expect from Disney.

I guess in all fairness though, I can't judge the show until I've seen the whole thing in person.

I don't see anyone insulting you. Just staying an opinion. It can be done without being rude.

How permanent is this? I was thinking it was a temporary thing while SM was down for refurb during the summer season.

With SM down what point is there to go to Tomorrowland? Buzz and that is about it and TTA is down right now as well. Everyone complains about how terrible stich is and there is hardly ever a line for that or CoP. Seems to me that without SM to anchor Tomorrowland they just wanted something so that corner of the park wasn't completely dead.

I don't think it is Disney's answer to anything, I think it was just a cheap quick little production that people are reading too much into.

That's the best thing about a stage show. You have to imagine that the cost is relatively low, so when it's time to go bye-bye, there's no real loss. Stitch's Great Escape on the other hand, you can tell, cost a lot of money. Much more difficult to shut that down.

exactly, so it isn't disney's answer to anything.

Can't speak for anyone else, but my point was not so much what Disney's answer was, but rather, how Disney seems to be very non-responsive to the competition spending more money.

I must say I see your point with the stitch show. But, we were at Universal in the middle of May and it was no lines at any of the rides at both parks and much less crowded than the other days that week at the parks at Disney. So Disney must be doing something right.

So Disney must be doing something right.

Disney does A LOT of stuff right. I wouldn't vacation there as much as I do if they didn't. That's really the point. Those of us very familiar with Disney and their standard's have come to expect great things from them. This isn't one of them.

When I heard about the coasters at Universal and Sea World, I really didn't care about them per se as I'm not a huge coaster buff. What I was excited about was seeing how Disney responded. What I (and from the sounds of it, others) am saying, is that Disney seems to not be taking things as seriously as maybe they should be.

Disney is riding high on its reputation for now. The way things are going, it won't last. Things are going downhill in a hurry.

Just out of curiousity, how many people who have posted on this thread have actually SEEN the show? And I don't mean on youtube either...

I have sat through the whole show three times since it opened and passed by it walking through Tomorrowland countless times as well. Personally, I think the show is adorable and made a point of taking my mom to see it when we went to MK yesterday. We both got a kick out of the Galactic Girls and I even got her to do the moves to Stitch's dance with me!! I think it's great family fun - I would be careful making judgements before you've actually seen it.

And to anybody who is making up their itineraries...make sure you leave room in your busy schedule to catch the Stitch show while you take a break with a nice frozen slushie from The Lunching Pad!!

With all due respect, I beg to differ. SGE was not a particularly dramatic change from the attractions that preceded it in the same location. Indeed, the basic elements of Mission to Mars are still there! It was not a high budget arraction like Soain' at all - which is very different from the attraction that prededed it. Not all atttractions at WDW are going to be e-rides.

But I'll agree that Disney should probably add something in the near future, other than the ongoing refurb of Space Mtn.
