And there are guys outside my office selling t-shirts (yeah, ok, I could see that), flags (ok, if ya wanna wave your flag at him), pennants (didn't realize the Pope made the playoffs this year) and programs (now batting for his holiness, Manny-anny-anny... Mmmmota-ota-ota).

I had no idea that I was so completely unprepared to wave at the Pope as he drove by without these critical items!

:lmao:Matt Lauer was showing off some of the Pope "stuff" on the Today show this morning. Hey, is this a great country or what? You can even make a buck selling Pope bobbleheads!!

You can't tell the players without a scorecard. Surely you picked up a program. Won't you want to pass that collectible :rotfl2: Pope paper onto your descendants???

I heard something about the Pope bobbleheads had the wrong hat on. I was like "what??!!" I heard some of it was "official" stuff too. What a world.

And let me just say, what a sweet ride he has. This is no Popemobile of yesteryear. He's got like a little lounge in there. Room for guests, nice comfy chair, a fully stocked bar... Ok, I made that last one up, but you get the idea ;)

The Cardinal from Chicago is averaging 20.5 Our Fathers a day and his conversion percentage is through the roof. I always pick him first in the fantasy league.

Cardinal Sean O'Malley here in Boston was quoted in the paper that the Pope isn't a rock star. I guess someone didn't get the memo. :lmao:

Your office must be down the street from mine.

I was at Washington Circle, woefully unprepared.
I gotta say the bobblehead cracks me up!

What sort of batting average do you think a Pope needs for Hall of Fame consideration?

My first thought was "of course he has a bar....where would he keep the wine?" And then my second thought was "I am so in trouble for that one...". (and I went to Catholic school for 8 yrs, and I go to Mass every Sunday.)

Maybe I'll burn for saying this, but the bobble head should squirt holy water out it's mouth. I like both style and substance.

I'm holding out for the Pope foam finger complete with his ring.

Nah -- nothing wrong with that statement. Our pastor when I was a kid was never seen at a church function without his big-*** beer stein. :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

DH got stuck on the wrong side of Pennsylvania Avenue today and couldn't get back to his office after a meeting so he saw the pope-mobile as well, but was extremely annoyed about it.

Breaking news..... this just in.....

Pope being investigated in HGH and doping probe. More at 11. Will there be an * by his name?

See, my first thought was, "If he holds up traffic during rush hour, Pope or not, I'm havin' words with him!"

My relatives always gets excited about seeing motorcades around town when they're here, whereas I'm thinking, "The friggin Prime Minister of India couldn't wander around town *after* traffic clears out a bit?!?"

:rotfl: Art, I was waiting for a thread something like this. Silly me, I ought to have known it would come from you. Fabulous title, by the way! You have good comic timing as well. Ever considered a change of careers? :thumbsup2

I know it's OK to say that about a priest (I have an uncle that's a priest), but I thought it about the POPE! If my mother were alive, well, actually, she'd laugh.
