I just can't wrap my mind around that one. :confused3 My brain is refusing to accept it! How could Thanksgiving possibly next week? It feels like it should be a few weeks from now. Where did the time go? :confused3 How many pay checks left until Christmas??? :earseek:

Me either. Stopped at the grocery store on the way home from work yesterday and noticed all the displays for the Thanksgiving items. After the initial disorientation, I snapped to it, boy! I realized I really didn't have the staples I usually have stocked by this time in the season and went to town. Got my Pepperidge Farm stuffing, some Ocean Spray whole cranberry sauce (I haven't yet tasted homemade that was actually better, and opening the can is a lot less effort :rotfl: ) my 100 % Pumpkin, some refrigerated pie crusts, 4 Mrs. Smith's pies (2 apple and 2 cherry, in case we go to someone's house over the long weekend, I like to bring a pie), butter, sour cream, flour, eggs.

Have to still buy my produce, chestnuts and Turkey, but at least I got the other stuff out of the way. The fridge already seems too small, lol. Wait until I buy the turkey. Won't be room in it for anything!

Thanksgiving is truly my favorite holiday. Anyone else feel this way? I just love it because it's a time for loved ones to gather and spend time, and have a great feast. It doesn't seem to have gotten so commercial, and is just about family. Know what I mean?

I absolutely love Thanksgiving...I buy all the magazines with the new recipes, but somehow, I just make the traditional stuff every year. My kids are never interested in something new and different at the holidays. This weekend will the shopping blitz and then a marathon day of cooking on Wednesday.

Need to find a new jigsaw puzzle as well...family tradition...jigsaw on the coffee table for the football haters!

I thought I had another full week to go until this afternoon when my husband asked if I was working next Thursday. I wanted to know why he was asking and he said...cause it's Thanksgiving! I said, no we still have 2 weeks...he just laughed at that one.

I know what you mean. I feel like I havent done anything. I feel like I should have been done christmas shopping already.

I can wrap my mind around the fact that Thanksgiving is next week, but what I can't do is except that there is only 38 days till Christmas and than it will be the new year. :earseek:

For me, it's weird that I'm flying down this Friday to spend Thanksgiving week at WDW. It's going to be a lot of fun but a lot of work as I'm a trip coordinator for 100 band students!

Yeah it next week and I'm still in the middle of house cleaning. This is the christmas house cleaning. We are leaving next Wed to drive 6 hrs to VA for thanksgiving at my parents. So I don't have the grocery shopping or cooking (I just help my mom) but I'm so behind. I have done all the wash but have probably 4 loads to put away. I have house cleaned the 1/2 bath, kids bathroom, and Peanut's bedroom. Tomorrow I am cleaning the laundry room and both hallways. Friday I am cleaning the dining room/entry way. Saturday DH and kids are helping clean the kitchen and family room. Sunday I am cleaning master bath/bedroom hopefully with DH's help. I am off Monday babysitting my 2 yr old too. Hopefully I can get all laundry done and put away and clean older dd's bedroom (while she is at school) it will be easier that way. Probably will need part of Monday to finish Masterbedroom. I am working Tuesday- but I will have to pack and clean van. We leave Wed am. But if I have the house finished when we get back Sunday and Monday I will put up our artifical tree and start christmas decorations.
