My friend has never, ever seen it. :faint: I thought that was one film everyone had seen at least once! :3dglasses

I grew up watching it, so I'm in the "watched it numerous times" category. :dance3:

I've never seen it and I don't think DH has either

I have seen it numerous times and made DH sit through for the first time a few months ago.

The kids are watching it right now. We have all seen MANY times (it was always on TV Easter weekend growing up). I've also seen it on stage a few times and DS and DH were in a local stage version last summer. Yep, LOVE that movie:lovestruc

Numerous! I too look at people like they're crazy if they haven't seen the sound of music.

"The Sound of Music" is my favorite film. I have seen it many, many times.

Love it!!!!!! The scene in the cemetery is still startling to me.....

Many many times.. and we played the soundtrack all the time too.
As a kid I'd try to copy the You are 16 going on 17 by jumping from my bed to my dresser to the floor back to the bed going faster as the tempo did.
It's a wonder I didn't crack open my head.;)
When I was 11 my parents both had roles in our local little theatre production. My Mom's role was Mother Superior and my Dad was an extra so they dragged me to all the rehearsals.
I think I can still remember all the words to the songs...too bad I can't sing:rotfl:
My Mom sure could though!

This movie was a holiday tradition for me to watch. To this day, I still love it! I even got my (now) 13 y.o. DD watching it with me several times a year! She even got me the DVD for Christmas last year. It is one of my favs!

I've seen it many times and it would shock me that someone I knew (at least in my age group) hadn't seen it. I'd also be shocked if someone told me they never saw "The Wizard of Oz" or "Fiddler on the Roof."

I saw it for the first time in Salzburg, Austria in 1982 at a youth hostel. It was so cool to watch the movie, and see the Alps!

ok- well- I have seen little clips here and there from the Sound of Music- tried to watch it once but it was boring to me. I saw the wizard of oz for the first time when I was in my 30's- when my mom would try to get me to watch it as a child they would get tot he part where that witch woman stole the dog from the girl and I would cry hysterically so that was that when I was a kid LOL- I have never seen any of Fiddler on the Roof.

So you probably recognized parts of Salzburg in the movie? Everytime they show those scenes of Salzburg I look for places I recognize. :)

I'm in the seen it numerous times & love it category.

Many times. When I was little and got sick my mom would set me up on the couch with pillows and blankets and she would put in the Sound of Music and watch it with me until I fell asleep.

I stayed at that hostel and watched the movie there too! But it wasn't my first time.
