Took my DD and DS by to see my mom yesterday in the hospital. DH met us up there. DS and DH left when my dad did to make sure he got home safely.
Anyway, DD stands by the bed and watch one of the nurses as she administers and IV and then adds something else to that IV, plus a few other shots of medicine followed by a handful of pills, a nitro patch, and a patch with pain medicine. She watches every move intently but quietly. After all is done and "granny" is settled in. DD wants to sit on the bed beside her. Granny says, "come up here and lay beside me". DD is very small and petite, as is granny. She gets up and sit back by granny, looks over at her and DD says, "but I'm not taking none of those shots."
