So, Stateroom 12000 Has Become Available....Do I switch?

Well, Stateroom 12000 is now showing as unavailable, so hopefully someone is really happy this evening! I had decided to keep what I've got and we'll see what level of wonderful it will be! :cool1:

It wasn’t me lol. That verandah is so tempting. And the extra space in the front hallway for luggage and such. I would try it on a shorter cruise. Maybe next time ;)

Awww, I would not have minded a bit. :cutie: I put it out there knowing someone might be a very happy camper to get that room. And I had reviewed a ton of videos and pix before posting, so though I was torn about it, I was still leaning toward my more traditional location. :flower:

My husband and I sailed in 12000 on our wedding cruise last year. I opted to switch to that room for the verandah, great for taking photos after the ceremony. We liked the entry area between the outer door and the inside of the suite for storing suitcases and wedding stuff

Wedding cruise? Wow! Congratulations! That room with that verandah must have been AMAZING for your post wedding photos! Thanks for the extra info on that stateroom. :cutie:

Btw, Stateroom 12000 is BACK for the Sept. 8th sailing! Someone must have just been looking at it for a while. So if anyone out there wants it, go for it! :cool1:

I have stayed in cabin 12000 on a four night Dream cruise several years ago. Loved this cabin and verandah and would book it again as my first choice cabin of the cat T cabins. We found the cabin and the verandah to be very private and quiet. On the verandah there is a huge area that is covered and private from those above you. Honestly, we only heard people above us a once in the entire four days. Yes, we did hear our neighbors on occasion on their verandah but that can happen regardless of which cabin you stay in as people enjoy their verandahs. I wouldn't say either set of neighbors was extremely loud and we we're never bothered by them making noise while they used the Jacuzzi on their verandah.

Yes, the view is not straight down but we loved our view from this verandah. I loved sitting outside with a massive ocean view. We had late dining and each evening we would get drinks and appetizers from the concierges lounge and sit out on our deck to watch sunset. We also found that we used the verandah in this cabin far more then we have ever used our verandahs on any other cruise. In addition, the cabin also has floor to ceiling windows that run the entire length of the back from the living room to the dining area. It was so nice to have a breathtaking view even as you relaxed inside the cabin.

I also liked that the stateroom had the extra hall as we never heard any noise outside our cabin.

Clearly, pick which ever cabin you will be happiest with for your needs. I just thought I would share our experience staying in cabin 12000.

Lovely input, Macprincess. Thank you! :flower3:

I can see where enjoying this particular verandah would be nothing less than fabulous. And having a "captain's view" of the ocean dead ahead is something that is NOT a normal stateroom experience.

Thank you again to ALL! I really appreciate all the input. If anyone has any Concierge input or advice, though it is slightly off my own thread topic, I would LOVE, love to hear it! :thanks:
