What's it going to be - and why?

I was initially going to say a video camera, because we've been talking how we really need one by this Christmas with 2 little babies...
BUT... I'm going to pick the window unit AC.
We have central air, but on one end of our house where we added on, it just doesnt reach this end too well. Its where our playroom, office and Ellas room is, and it can get quite warm.....

I'd take the canoe. We have all the technology stuff we need, live on a 2nd floor condo so can't have a picnic table or grill, don't have a landline so don't need cordless phones, and have central air so don't need the air conditioner. A canoe would be fun, and I like being outside and on the water.

That's what I thought too when we got ours. Sorry, no dice.
Nearly every VHS movie made since about 1990 has copy-protection encoded on it. If you try to copy it to DVD the recording ends right away and a "sorry this recording is protected by copyright" message pops up at you.

Now, if *you* recorded something, off TV, then you can put THAT on DVD. i know people who get around things that way. Find it on TV, record it on VHS, then copy it to DVD.

I have an issue with the fact that I can't copy my VHS tapes. I thought, by law, I was supposed to be able to make a copy so as to back up my purchases and protect my library, so to speak. But, no one asked my opinion.
