I respectfully disagree with this. While I am all for the idea of allowing discounts (even substantial discounts) for basic daily services such as food, shelter, and even education, I do not think that we should be passing out free high dollar vacations.
While I put on my flame suit, let me also say that I AM incredibly grateful for the service that each member of our armed forces provides.
By no means an attack but your statement is confusing to me. You say, "I don't think we"...who is "we", this discount is not from our government. It is from Disney, a publically held company valuing our troops and their service, it does not cost the average person a thing for Disney to give this discount (unlike if it were with tax dollars).
Second, you say "I do not think we should be passing out free high dollar vacations" since when does a small ticket discount on a vacation where the person still pays for a place to stay and food count as a "free high dollar vacation".
I agree you are certainly entitled to your opinion but it sounds like you think the US government is giving out thousands of dollars in vacations, which is simply not the case.
