So rude!

That is extremely rude.

Those who are having a wedding with a catered affair (like the lobster dinner), make sure to put in the contract that the excess gets freezer wrapped to be taken home-or donated. Friends sent me and DH home with several packages of chateaubriand to 'reward' my sister for babysitting my then 5 week old and 3 year old. She'd had 20 not show up, but all of it was packaged and divvied up among several guests. :)

So what happened to the food? Was it donated to a club or church or shelter? Please tell me it wasn't thrown away. That would be so wrong for them and for you.....

We leave them the leftovers and it is up to them what they want to do with it. They paid for the food, it isn't up to us what we do with it.

That really stinks. I hope they found something useful to do with the food.

We didn't even bother with RSVP's at all because we knew people either a) don't send them back at all, or b) respond no,then show up anyway, or c) respond yes, then dont come. I sent out 450 invitations, paid for food for 350, fed just at 300, and then both our families ate leftovers while we were gone on our honeymoon. The leftover booze hosted a party for our friends the next Saturday while we were still on our honeymoon. :rotfl:
