Just got to share this brilliant news with everyone!!

As some of you may be aware, DS (aged 15) dances and over this last week has been competing at a dance festival. At the end of the festival the Adjudicator chooses 14 of her favourite dances/performers throughout the week to perform in the Bursary and DS was one of them.

This is the first time he has ever been chosen for this, and he had a choice of dances either Song and Dance or his Tap. He decided on his Tap and the 14 dancers (all of different ages) draw lots to decide in which order they dance. DS got number 13.

Anyway, he danced very well, and only went and won it!   .

The Adjudicator said he has got a lot of potential and should consider dance as a career. He should apply to dance colleges and there should be no reason why he shouldn't get in. And he came away with a lovely plaque (which he keeps), a big silver cup and a cheque for £250 to be used to further his dance education.

To say we are very proud parents is quite an understatement. I cried and DH cheered. My mum and sister were also there and they clapped til their hands were sore.

He has his Easter school down at Arts Ed to look forward to now, and this win should really boost his confidence for the future.

Sorry if I've waffled, but we're soooo proud.
