So, my son is a creative problem solver...

:rotfl2:

I have to ask....where they just the fruit snacks or where they gummy bears? And if they were bears did he put the heads under the blocks or sticking out? :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

They were Spongebob Squarepants gummies, so I'm afraid Spongebob, Patrick, and friends all met their demise in the block tower. :rotfl:

I have soaked the blocks in hot water and the majority of the goo dissolved.

DS3 is a big challenge. It is impossible to anticipate what he may do. I can honestly say that life is never boring with my boys around!
;)

Hubby and I just had a good chuckle over those pictures. He said it was something our youngest son would have done at that age (and he's right)!:rotfl:

:rotfl2:
that's priceless! I needed a good, sweet chuckle after what my son has done!
(wait til he's 13!)

oh...and i hope that you scrapbook...that would be a great page!

:thumbsup2 Priceless!

What are your sons view on the Economy??? We need some gummies for that too!;)

:rotfl:

At first when I saw the picture I thought it was pretty smart of him to build the base wider than the rest of the structure, and then I saw the gummies; smart kid.

i did the same thing too and i also did a support system and created this like house with a door (could get the bell to work didn't have enough time :)

Very creative he is going to have some great gift mines music ihopw you discove it soon

Lol, that's hilarious. My youngest is like that (he's 10 now). Keep an eye on your screwdriver at all times--he may disassemble your household items and remake them into something else!

I guess I missed a gummy somewhere. There was an army of ants attacking the blocks this morning. They are all soaking in hot soapy water. Again.

I showed this thread to DH and he has declared your son winner of the Duct Tape Award!

Just as an FYI, the legos are top-rack dishwasher safe. I put them in a mesh laundry bag so that the dishwasher spines poke right through. :thumbsup2

I am a children's librarian and run both a Lego and a Duplo group, so I now have an honorary PhD in cleaning the darn things! :sad2:

OTOH, what a great solution to his building problem! I know it's hard to be proud when you're reminding him not to mix gummies and toys - or to stop laughing. :rotfl2:

You may want to take a moment to write down how proud you were at this moment and stash that note away with the pictures. In a few years when you find it again, it will make you smile and remind him of how much you care about him, even when he's doing something you're not crazy about. (Teen years, anyone?)

I just PM'd the OP about putting the blocks in the dishwasher. I know from *ahem* personal experience, that they can go on the top rack. :lmao:

OP--KUDOS to your son, for finding such a great (albeit unique) solution to his structural problems.

That's pretty awesome, but did the dog get any of the leftovers? :rolleyes1

She got 2 (maybe 3) gummies for being such a good girl and following the rule to stay out of the kitchen when the kids are eating. Shhhh... don't tell on me, okay? ;)

Play is a child's work.

Your child deserves a promotion:thumbsup2
