So Much To Celebrate - LIFE and Sophie Kate!

Okay, so...I have to admit that I did not wander to the Storybook Circus part of the new Fantasyland. Katie and I did Under the Sea the first night, but she knows all too well my fear of clowns and circuses, so we didn't go down that end. I know the clowns are out at certain times, and I know the whole "I cannot see the circus area of new Fantasyland" thing is soooo irrational, but I just could not handle the thought of seeing anything circus-related in my beloved happy place!

I have the HeadBanz Disney game at school and let the kids play it on a special day when they earn the privilege of a 30 minute game party. They have a blast with it!

Just recently Marc and I purchased the Just Dance Disney for our Wii. (did I already tell you this?) We had a behavior reward party for our class and danced and I was a sweaty mess! Anyway, I thought it would be fun to play this summer with the girls down at Vero! So I'll be packing it and bringing it down! party:

Oh and one more thing, we have a snow day tomorrow! They are now predicting 10-14 inches.

Ooh, just dance Disney would be fun! Maybe a good idea for a b-day gift for one of my girls in March!

I was thinking of you when I saw the forecast tonight! We're "only" expecting to get about 6". Still a big pain in the rear. We will still have school and work. Hope they get the plows out early. Stay safe in your home!

Joining in!!!! I am really enjoying the TR so far. I was so sad to re-read about all your hardship but I was so glad to hear everyone is ok! Your pictures are not helping my inner turmoil about not getting a fall break! Would anyone really know if I took a sick day or two in Oct?!?

We are planning a trip for June 2014 but I dont think I can go an entire year without a trip at all...howeveryour pictures arevan excellent way for me to get my Disney fix!

I thought the same thing about them placing it in the middle of everything, yet having it open last. I guess that was the only way it could be done, but it is a mess.

:(

Does anyone know exactly, or even roughly, when the soft open for the Seven Dwarves Mine ride is supposed to be? We're going in July, and I don't hold out any great hope that it would be open by then, but remain positive until I hear otherwise...

So glad to hear that Jill is feeling better!!!

Yay for Sophie's first ride!! You picked a great classic for that memorable occasion!! :wizard:

Yes, all three girls had fun, classic Disney firsts. :)

Jill is perfect. :thumbsup2

Ah seeing those Fall decorations makes me so anxious for Oct. But I do not want to rush the summer.

Love that the girls each have a different "first ride".

The new merchandise looks good.

That will be great to have a Storybook Circus theme for Sophie's first birthday!

The only thing I want to rush right now is the next four weeks. Then I want to stop time and make one week feel like two. ::yes::

The girls do have fun Disney first rides. :earsgirl:

The circus/carnival idea will be easy to do and much fun for the kids.

MK in the fall - still on my list.

I can't tell you the last time we were on Small World. I do remember we had to force Declan on to the ride.

Can't wait to see the new expansion in a couple of weeks.

If we ever cross paths, we'll make our group ride be Jungle Cruise or Pirates or Spash or....anything but Small World, for Declan's sake!

I was was surprised that Bella's first ride was Peter Pan , only because I thought it had a height restriction

We've taken all the girls on PP as babies. No restrictions that we have ever seen. It's the little kids' version of Soarin'. ;)

It is beautiful in October! So glad I am making it there this year!
I love the theme for Sophie's first bday party! Y'all always do such a great job!

Yay for October for you!!! :cool1:

Before the circus party, though, we have an 'All-Princess' party to do for Bella, and then whatever Brooklynn decides on for hers.

Hi MeMom,So when are YOU going back to WDW?? I finished up "I Don't Speak Wind" which linked me to "So much to Celebrate" BUT I am still reading "Baby and the Tramp",so I am a little :confused3 with months and dates. Now I just read Jill is going in April and I JUST booked a trip in April. I LOVE Flower and Garden in Epcot and April is our Anniversary month PLUS my DD will be done with Graduate school student teaching!! So a DISNEY CELEBRATION is called for . I LOVE reading your reports!! So many of us DISNEY obsessed people. Friends in my "REAL LIFE" just do not understand why I would be going BACK there AGAIN. But I am and this is how I feel about it :cool1::yay::cloud9::dance3: Joan

I am going in March, and Jill is going in April. Not our ideal plan, but the way this spring played out. Hopefully next year, we'll be back to normal.

We totally understand why you want to go back again and again and again -
and why you are doing all of that hopping, dancing, spinning, etc. about it. :thumbsup2

I agree how colorful everything is at Disney in October! And the fall decorations make everything so festive. What a great time of year to visit.

Looks like Sophie really enjoyed her first Disney ride on IASW! I usually look just like that myself when I ride.........

Never been near Pinocchio's when I was needing something to eat, but I will definitely keep it in mind in the future. That flatbread pizza looks pretty good!

I have to agree that when they get that mine train done, it should add quite a bit to the New Fantasyland area..........including even heavier crowds I bet!!!

I love what they did with the Storybook Circus area. Reminds me of the carnivals I used to enjoy as a boy. I like those "popcorn" pin displays and there are alot of neat things in that gift shop! I have to agree with others on here though, it would be really hard to choose from that display case of goodies!!!

Yeah, I bet the crowds will get thick around the Mine Train. But, that means there will be fewer people at some of the oldies -Splash and Big Thunder - maybe. ;)

I will get some more/better pictures of the goodies at Storybook Treats when I go in March. They have Dumbo cupcakes, and I am going to see if they would sell me some of the plastic picks they put in them for us to use at our party.

We've got this game but have yet to play it!

Open it up, girl! We'll all come over Friday night to play! :dance3:

we have it and it's fun - I'm always surprised at how hard it can be, even though we know pretty much ALL the Disney characters!

All this talk - I will have to get it for Brooklynn for her birthday, maybe.

Now you have added a problem to our party. How can we have the theme and not freak you out??? popcorn:: We are not having clowns - that's for sure!

The girls will love dancing...and they will love seeing you and Mr. Marc and Baylor dancing. :goodvibes

Happy Snow Day!!! :cheer2:

Safe ravels for all in the snow and ice! Our 'prime' snow times have passed, so I think we are in the clear.

I think October is the perfect time for a few sick days! :thumbsup2

I have heard 2014, but not a particular month.

How in the world am I already 9 pages behind?! ;). But it was lovely to catch up! And terrible to relive all of the medical issues poor Jill had to go through when Sophie first arrived! I'm so glad that things worked out the way that they did and now we get to share more adventures with your wonderful family!:goodvibes

I love the new storybook circus area! Dumbo was definitely a big hit with our crowd in the fall!

Well I finally finished your previous report and caught up on this one. We don't have internet at our house as of right now. I have been trying to keep up with your adventures on break at work. I'm enjoying it as always.

Fabulous news Tinkgurl! That fountain certainly has some magical powers!:goodvibes

MeMom, don't count on any dancing from Marc or Baylor. Most likely it will be me and the girls. Not that I wouldn't welcome some other adult company...(hint, hint)

Day 2 of schools being closed tomorrow. Just heard that there is a plane stuck on the runway at our airport. It did land safely though. The snow is really deep. We are at just over a foot the last I heard.

Congrats to Tinkgurl! Best news of the day.

I was crying along as I read the introductions reliving those frantic days again. I'm so glad all the prayers and wishes worked.

Wonderful start to Sophie's first trip to Disney. Loved seeing the fall colors and new parts of Fantasyland.
