So Much To Celebrate - LIFE and Sophie Kate!

So sorry to hear about your kitty. I hope he gets to come home and be in familiar surroundings. It is so hard. I had many traumatic childhood animal experiences. I have hesistated to have a pet for the boys yet.
I hope you can go and be happy with your girls. Cannot wait to see pics on FB.
Thanks for all the tips for St. Pete. We are wanting to go to the baseball game and we are going to check out Ft. DeSoto park. It looks great.
Well, I have other news. I have decided not to purchase VGF. It just does not seem financially the right thing to do. We go the paperwork but I did not sign. I am kind of upset with our guide too. He was not honest with us about the points and use year so that made the decision easier. I would rather look for a resale and get more points. It is crazy how expensive they are at VGF.
Have a good week!

That dishonesty thing is not good at all! I hope you get your points through resale. So many people say that is the way to go.

This is my last pet. It's been a 'good run', but whenever he is gone, be it weeks or years, I am not interested in ever having to go through this again.

*****************************************

We did go to one more resort that evening.

This one.

The one with the pentagoat. ;)

We had come for a particular purpose.
To meet some people.
And we met them right here.

Chowing down while we waited.

It was late, and Brooklynn fell asleep on the seat before our friends could arrive.

Bella made it, though, and look who showed up!
It's Mr. Marc and Miss AnitaWigd.

They were just starting their trip as ours was ending.

Brooklynn, wake up!

After a few minutes of visiting, we left Mickey

and got back on the monorail.

Goodbye, Contemporary.

So long, Aveng-o-rail.

Goodbye, Magic Kingdom.

Even though shopping isn't really my thing, I have enjoyed every time I have been into Days of Christmas and Once Upon a Toy! :goodvibes

How can you top a final night visiting the Poly and watching Wishes from the beach there...........:cheer2: Of course that is always better when you throw in some wings and an adult beverage from the bar to go with it........ :rolleyes2 ::yes::

Sorry you are facing such a tough decision with Tux! I know this is very difficult and I hope his final days are comfortable for him and leaves you all with nothing but wonderful memories!!!

I hope you have a great trip! I have really enjoyed following along on this one, and can't wait to read about the next one when you get back!!! :thumbsup2

I know we tease you and you tease us about the shopping, but we are very glad to have you along, and we hope there are enough other things besides the shopping that you do want to hang around for the next trip. :thumbsup2

We're not up on adult beverages - just not our thing, but we're fine with those who enjoy them. Jill did think she might have to resort to her first sip of alcohol when she went with her mother-in-law in April, but I think she made it through okay after all.

That's what I want regarding the cat - for the good memories not to be tainted with a lot of bad stuff at the end. Who knows, though, he may fool us all and live for years!

My thoughts and prayers are with you.:grouphug:

Thanks. :) I am hoping for an uneventful night.

So sorry to hear about your cat. This is such a sad time but I hope his final days are comfortable and you remember all the happy times. My prayers are with you.

It looks like I might not be able to make it on the 20th, I really wish I could since it's going to be such a BIG meet. But since I plan to be in Florida for awhile (hopefully we don't move away again) there will be other meets. ;) I will be getting some Disney time in though with my family and DBF's family on Father's Day.

So sweet that Brooklynn fell asleep on the bench! What a cute picture.

I hope things go smoothly with kitty. Again, it's tough, but you will remember how sweet he is more than the sadness when he goes. And maybe it won't be so soon!

Have you started packing for your trip yet?

Hoping Tux has a good night tonight and that Drew won't be too heartbroken when he is gone.
Sometimes the toughest people have the softest hearts for animals.

I know this is really hard and please know you have all of our support around here. :grouphug:

I'm glad you have a new trip this week cause it's kinda sad watching the "last night" pics.

Brook certainly was asleep when we arrived, but Bella was WIDE awake as she ran across the restaurant to meet us! Miss Sophie was bright eyes as well. For us it was the perfect start to our typical quick October trip, but it would have been made even better if you had been staying.

Will be anxious to hear about how your night went with Tux. Just as I'm going to bed, you will be getting up,

Thinking about you & how you made out with Tux last night. DH & I got a cat before we got married & had Spooky for 17 1/2 years. It was so hard to loose him & now we have miss Willow & I cannot imagine when she goes. All of us in this house just love her to pieces. It is so hard!! I love cats though & cannot imagine not having one. I see your point though. It is so hard going through what you are going through right now. I know you will do what is best for him.

I wish I would be able to see you guys! I came home on Sunday. Back to the real world! :)

Sorry for your troubles with Tux......Taking the dog to the vet for the last time was one of the hardest things I ever had to do. I knew my own limitations,, so I wrote out " We are here because we have made an appt to have Reggie put to sleep" , I just handed them the note...I knew I couldn't say it. My Older son came along, but he could hardly talk either, even though we knew it was the best thing for all concerned. The next dog, 10 or so years later( he was an adoption from a family member going through a divorce), I sent my DH.

Blessings on all of you to get through this as best you can. Deb

How sad to say goodbye to the Magic Kingdom!! :(

But how nice to say hello to Anita and Marc. Disney friends are pretty cool! :thumbsup2

I didn't realized you lived so far away. I thought you were just right there close. We would all love to see you, if it works out, but if not, we understand. We can try again in December. :thumbsup2

I did some packing today. At one point, the cat was sitting in the suitcase on top of my clothes as if perhaps he had plans to go somewhere.

I am hoping in the morning to begin last day pictures.

I'm glad we at least got to cross paths before we left.

Oh, sorry to hear that. But, it is one day closer to your next trip, right? ;)

Hellos are so much happier than goodbyes. Goodbyes are especially not fun when other people are just starting their trips! :upsidedow

We just thank all of you again for all of your stories and your sympathy and empathy for us. After talking with the doctor today and telling him that he had eaten a little (a few nibbles of dry food and a couple of spoons of tuna) and had had a little water, he said for us to leave him home again today, and we're doing another blood test in the morning. He said that should give a good indicator of how he might do if I leave him at home with Drew while I am gone. He said he wished he had a crystal ball to tell what the next twelve days will hold. He's a really nice, compassionate doctor, and he's not trying to force me into anything one way or another. If the blood test shows that he is holding his own, and the doctor doesn't have reason to believe that anything drastic will happen, the plan is to leave him home with Drew.

I have noticed tonight that the cat is making some slight moaning sounds. He has never done that before. They are like very soft drawn-out sighs. He's done it three times. This may be a sign that he is hurting. I hope he will make it obvious, because as soon as I know he is in pain, that will make any decisions a thousand times easier. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. He is a cherished family member. We don't want to lose him, but we don't want him to hurt, either. :sad1:

Well, I kid you about the shopping also so I guess we are even. :rotfl: There is definitely plenty around here to keep things interesting, even including some of the "shopping." (but you didn't hear that from me) :rolleyes1 As for the adult beverages, not a big thing to me so no worries there.

Yes, it is so tough to know with a pet how to balance our pain of giving them up versus the pain they may experience by us keeping them in our lives just a little longer. :worried: Thoughts and prayers to know when to make that tough decision when the time is right for both of you!

Coming to the end of your trip is never fun, but how great to be able to end it on the high of a DISmeet!!! :woohoo:

You and Kitty and family will be in my thoughts and prayers MeMom

Thanks. He ate some more tuna this morning and has even had a little water. I am taking him back in a few minutes, and I think I will tell them that I want him to just hang out at home, and Drew can bring him in if he starts getting bad.

I was planning on putting up last morning pictures today, but my laptop was being crazy. It kept freezing up, but now it is doing fine. Now I can't decide if I need to go get a new one before I leave or just hope this one holds out. I am kind of addicted to my computer. I am not a TV or video game or FB game person at all, but I need ;) my laptop for communication, news, DIS, FB, school stuff etc.

The same people in those last pictures are enjoying Animal Kingdom today - lucky ducks! They sent safari pictures earlier. :)

Yes, please let us know what the vet said today...
I'm sure Drew will be quite attentive to Tux while you are gone and as we all know with pets, they would much rather be at home.

How did the blood test go MeMom? I bet Drew will take excellent care of kitty while you go. :goodvibes

Mr. Spoiledy Cat is going to stay home while I am gone. He has some special food and some pills to be crushed up in it. Drew will take good care of him, and if he begins losing weight rapidly, throwing up violently, seizing, or if his eyes turn yellow, he will take him back to the vet.

He was sitting in my suitcase yesterday, but he was going to have my clothes covered in black hair, so I closed it up. Now he's sitting on top of the suitcase. He's going to be a dork until the end.

Glad your cat is ok for now and got to come home! Have a magical time on your trip!! I'm excited to hear about Vero. I live an hour and a half away, but I've never been there for some crazy reason!!

I love watching the fireworks from the Poly beach.
Nice to see Anita.
All caught up again.

Wait, what?
You saw me on the Poly Beach?
Hahahaha!
Actually i was down there after the fireworks the other night, but I doubt that you were still watching the comings and goings on the beach at that time.:upsidedow
