He was "NOT well liked", as some commentator said a few days ago. That is why he didn't have the BIG funeral. However, Reagan deserves it ALL as far as I am concerned.

Unfortunately I had a funeral of my own to attend today and missed Reagans...but everything I have seen of Nancy shows a woman of great strength, grace and dignity. And an incredibly touching love of her husband. You know she must be exhausted. My heart absolutely goes out to her.

I remember when I was in 4th grade and Truman died over Christmas vacation--his funeral was also not in Washington, he wanted it in his native Missouri, where he is buried by the Truman library. Johnson died not even one month later.
