So Many Desserts! A Rare QSDP Review w/ pics! 6/19-6/26 FINISHED!: Wrap Up 8/16

Thank you again for posting your QSDP reviews. While we usually cook, this experience has given us so many other options especially for those short trips. Besides we still have a few more places that you reviewed to try on our next trip. Thanks again.

Oh yea...FIGHT ON!!! Best to you this coming year at school.

Great reviews and pics, thanks. I am almost convinced to stay at SSR just frrom your pics and reviews of the food! We have stayed at BCV and the food options in the Market Place are dismal compared to what you are showing.

I'm still enjoying your reviews, and I'm thinking I'm giong to have to get a couple of those water bottles for my next trip to DLR!

DLR29, the Macadamia Chicken and flourless chocolate cake are only available at the table service WGP. It will be our OP meal for the trip. They used to have the Macadamia Chicken at the WGPE but alas, no longer. Also the one down by the movie theater on the West End used to be the very best but now both of them have pretty much the same menu but the one at Marketplace has indoor seating and a few more options. Times change.

I lose weight at DW because I am not bored and do not care to eat as much as I am tempted to at home. I buy lottery tickets in hopes of being able to afford to stay a full year and come out slim and trim.

I would totally go back to SSR but not just because of the food. We loved the place in general. The grounds were nice, the bus service was fantastic and the pool was wonderful! Defintiely give it a try! :thumbsup2

The water bottles are great! Super convenient and light to carry around, plus you can freeze them overnight so that they are ice in the morning.

I'm all caught up and loved it! Can't wait for the next post!

Coming right now!

Yeah, I asked around and people told me that the Marketplace is a better CS option. We did stop by the West Side one once for a soda and the menu did look more limited. We might have to try the TS there sometime...maybe if we ever get the DDP, but after such a great QSDP experience I don't know if we'll ever upgrade!

Snacks at the MK on the last day of the QSDP

Our cousins' final day was Saturday and so it was our last day with the dining plan too. :( Since we had so many snack credits we used up many on this day. First...

We stopped at Aloha Isle because we just HAD to get dole whips on the dining plan! I got a dole whip float which was SOOOOOOO yummy! :cloud9: Pineapple juice and frozen goodness!

DU and DC13 got Coke floats (because pineapple is much too exotic for their tastes)

DM got the swirl of pineapple and vanilla whip. DD and DB got regular Dole Whips. DC12 and DC10 got root beer floats. Sorry no pics of the last ones, you'll just have to salivate in your minds. :lmao: It was all very refreshing and a perfect treat at the end of the trip.

We also purchased a water at the Sleepy Hollow place in Liberty Square

WOW WOW WOW WOW:dance3::dance3:

What a report and the pictures are awesome. QSDP is for us next if DL doesn't pan out due to the high cost of flights. Thanks again for the great pictures. Wish there was more QS pictures out there.

Trying to catch up... Dole Whip Floats are one of my favorites. I am salivating right now thinking about having one in my hand in a little over 2 weeks. :woohoo: Again, thank you for posting these reviews it has been a huge help to me for planning our upcoming trip. :thumbsup2

I like the Dole pineapple floats better than the plain Dole Whips.

Was it here that someone was hunting for a place to sit while eating their Dole Whips? Just to the left toward Alladin and across from POC is a quiet corner tucked back in the shade. It used to be used by the DVC. It is a great place to people watch and wait for you POC etc. FP times too.

Since we go for so many days at a time we could easily afford to do a few TS OP if we wished. It is just that there is a dearth of ones that are worth it. Am I the only noticing that the BEST restaurants are not run by Disney? WGP is definitely worth it. The ambiance, food and service are excellent.

Did I see Dole Whips? Yummy! My favorite is a Dole float with pineapple juice and vanilla ice cream! It is so good.:cool1:

On our next trip we will have 110 snack credits and many of them will no doubt be on Dole Whip Floats!!! :lovestruc We adore them, pineapple on pineapple for us!

Enjoyed your report, thanks for sharing. Can't wait for our QSDP trip in November!!!

MickeyMomOfThree, you have me beat with my measly 56 snack points. :rotfl2: Hope your vehicle is large enough to carry back all the snacks you will be taking home with you. You will not have to buy any for the next year,or so. :thumbsup2

Ha, no kidding. It was the one thing worrying me about doing the QSDP,but I am sure we will manage! (And we do drive a van!) That doesn't include my grandparent's credits, that is just Dh and I and our 3 kids. Last trip my grandparents didn't use all their snack credits and gave us that stuff, and that was with just one a day, not two! We did bring back a lot of great things, we drive straight home no stopping so we can take baked goods and get them home to the freezer. Last trip we had so many, we also had gone and gotten out last CS meals and packed the cooler. It was nice not to have to stop for take out or frive throughs on the way home. When the kids were hungry they had cesar salads and chicken from WPE and sandwiches from EoS. It was great, in fact that is what they took in their lunches the next day back to school too.

I really hope that you do get to visit DLR at least once! It's really a great experience even for those WDW vets. Plus, we're super friendly over on the DLR DIS! :rotfl:

I know, I posted the pictures and started drooling! I'm glad to have been a help!

Actually, it was my first time trying the float. See usually at DLR I just get the whip because I don't need to pay the extra buck for the juice. But since we were using snack credits, I said 'why not?'

Did I see Dole Whips? Yummy! My favorite is a Dole float with pineapple juice and vanilla ice cream! It is so good.:cool1:

Something to try for next time! It does sound like a delicious combo.

Did some one say Dole whips?? Love them!

Ummmm who doesn't? I knew that update in the title would attract a crowd! :rotfl2:

110 credits? That's pretty much how many we had, 112. You are going to have so many snacks! I can't believe that we did use all of ours.

I NEED a Dole Whip Float right now!!!

Me too! It's a problem. Hi, my name is DLR29 and it's been 2 months since I've had a Dole Whip. :lmao:

Wolfgang Puck's Express-Lunch

Since DCs and DU were heading off that afternoon, we just had to have one more awesome meal with them. Where else but WPE...again! Of course everyone was in agreement. So we left MK and took the bus to Congress Park and then walked from there.

Everybody ended up ordering different things. I only have a couple pics because some of the items ordered are repeats from the first update.

We ordered:
-1 chicken tenders
-1 Mac 'n Cheese
-1 pennette chicken alfredo
-1 spaghetti with meatballs (mmmmm)
-1 4 cheese pizza
-1 pepperoni pizza

And then DU got the BBQ chicken pizza which had excellent flavor (actually, all of their pizzas did).

And DD got the bacon wrapped meatloaf. Oh goodness, this is a HUGE portion of deliciousness. The onion strings were crispy, the meatloaf was tender and the bacon just made it more flavorful and fatty! Then it all sits on top of a mountain of yummy mashed potatoes. I feel full thinking about it! Here, I'll let you guys decide for yourself by looking at the pic

For dessert:
-1 brownie
-4 cookies
-1 creme brulee
-2 frozen yogurts

So that was the end of the QSDP for DCs and DU. We still had some credits to use that evening (my family stayed at WDW for 3 extra days but not on any dining plan). So I have 1 more update that should come tomorrow! Then I'll wrap it all up before i head off on Tuesday. :thumbsup2

Wolfgang Puck's Express Lunch- 8CS used (5, 16)
OOP cost: $158.90
Running Total OOP cost: $1881.54 (still haven't broken even yet!)

Love, love, LOVE this DR. Thanks so much for your time and effort on this.

We'll be dining OOP for our off-site trip in April, and it's great to know we'll have so many CS options. I've also decided to make two trips to DTD so we can try WPE twice (we'll be splitting, kids just don't eat much at one sitting and DH and I love to share). Gotta have that breakfast pizza!

This DR will help us so much in planning our dining options. I typed up three pages of notes from your report!

Thanks again.

That meatloaf looks really good! We always eat at Cooke's of Dublin when in DTD, but I've got to try that meatloaf!!!!! :goodvibes
