 Ok I need some help here; I am going to WDW in three weeks, I will be on the MYW+DP for 6 nights. After all the research I came up with the 7 "finalists" for my 6 TS meals. If it is up to you, which of these restaurants would you pick and which ones would you “vote off”? Please help! Thanks!!

Chefs de France
Ohana
Boma
Coral Reef
Spoodles
Hoop Dee Doo (2 TS credits here)
Wolfgang Puck

I havent eaten at any you have on your list except the HoopdeDoo and it was well worth the credits. We had a great time. For tis February we are doing the Coral Reef especially since it is now 1 TS credit. I understand it is quite nice and food is good.

Reserve them all *if you havent yet* and cancell the one you dont want to keep. I would have done that 5 months ago, but Im a fanatic :hyper:

Hello Sweetness, I would like to try them all but I only get 6 TS and need to remove one or two from that list. It is a tough decision, hence I need some advice. :crowded: Thanks in advance.

Whoa -- tough decision :scratchin
Some of your choices are on my list to try on our next trip -- Chefs de France and Boma. I have read such wonderful reviews of Boma that I would have to say that should be a keeper. 'Ohana is a must do for us every trip. HDDR is lots of fun and is pretty pricey if you are paying OOP so that should probably be a keeper. We have eaten at Coral Reef -- the food was really good but the portions were pretty small -- that might be one I would give up. I have never tried Spoodles or Wolfgang Puck so don't have much to offer. Good luck with your decision :flower:

I've not been to Hoop de Doo or O'hana. I've eaten at the others and have had good experiences at all except for Wolfgang Puck. I am not sure if you were planning to eat at the upstairs restaurant or Wolfgang Puck Cafe. My comments apply to the cafe. I've been there four times, and each time has been bad. (why do I keep going back, I ask myself). We have had: burnt hamburgers, raw hamburgers, but nothing in between; burnt pizzas, undercooked pizzas, but nothing in between; limp salads, bland pastas, rude service, less-than-stellar sushi, dirty tables...

My recommendation is to remove Wolfgang Puck's, if you are referring to the Cafe.

hey liamsaunt, hello mommystieg!
I picked Wolfgang Puck becasue of its location. I want to try one of the resturant in DtD on the night we go to PI.
I want to try different types of cusine as thats what vacation is all about right? (experience things you don't get at home)
Too bad we won't have time to try everything so we have to choice which ones are most rewarding.

For DTD, I would consider maybe paying out of pocket for that one and getting rid of Wolfgang Pucks. Cap'n Jacks is a good choice if you still want to use dining plan there, but not too much out of pocket depending on what you order. Bongo's is good and there are some lower priced entrees while still allowing you to "experiment" a little.

If I had to, I would remove Wolfgang Puck's and either Spoodles or Chefs de France (just not my taste.)

No Le Cellier? I have eaten at all of your choices except Spoodles and endorse all of them. I really like Boma and 'Ohana, Coral Reef is great with a aquarium view, HDD is a fun evening (remember part of the cost is the corny show). Wolfgang Puck will have interesting choices, and I guess I just prefer Le Cellier to Chefs de France, but they have great food too. Happy dining!

oh dgaston, you know what my silly excuse for not picking Le Cellier is?? We are from Canada and make me feel weird flying all the way down to WDW just to go back to a Canadian Themed resturant to dine. haha... Like we alway make fun of people travel all the way to Frence and have McDonald's. (I know it is not the same thing but you get my idea)

I would drop Wolfgang Puck.

Reason? It is just a chain restaurant. You can get it all over. Go on vacation to California and we have them in any big mall. Just isn't special.

I would most definitely keep Chefs De France.

I just had the best dinner of my recent life there (Onion soup with Gruyere/Filet with Gratin Potatoes/Creme Brulee) and it was perfection from top to bottom.

The only meal that came close was Le Cellier.

I understand your aversion to Le Cellier, but then again, I'm from California and would still love to eat at the California grill. ;)

California eat at the California grill. :rotfl:
Canadian eat at Le Cellier :rotfl:

Regarding location, there are a couple of other DTD restaurants that I would rate higher than Wolfgang Pucks: Fultons (seafood)--some people don't like this place, but I've always had good food there; Portobello Yacht Club (Italian); Raglan Road (Irish Pub)--my one meal here was not the best but I think we caught them at a bad time, and lots of others have really liked it. Have fun whatever you choose.

I've eaten at Coral Reef and Wolfgang Puck. They were both excellent!
I'm sorry to hear some had a bad experience at WP. Our food was excellent, service was excellent too. The waitress even commented on how good the kiddies were and came back with 3 Big cookies for them! I wouldn't count that one out.

Choices, choices! Personally, I would keep Hoop de Doo, Ohana and Chefs de France. Hoop de Doo has great home cookin' type food and is a great experience. Ohana is also fun and has delicious food. Chefs de France is an upper scale restaurant, well worth the dining credits :-)

The ones I would drop first would be Spoodles and Wolfgang Puck.
