So Many Characters..So Little Time! Our April Adventure to the World! Complete:)

Great update Angie! Sounds like Disney Quest was a definite hit!! I am sure Gabe will be asking to go here the next trip, he is so into our Wii games and I know as he gets older he will be even MORE into them!! Great stop at Goofy's too!! YUMMY! Too bad they are not a snack credit anymore :sad1: Looking forward to hearing about Typhoon Lagoon!!!!!:goodvibes

What a great update! I know....I always say that but I love your updates. I felt the same way as you about trying Disney Quest. I am soooo not a gamer person but I had a good time at Disney Quest. Our favorites were Jungle Cruise and Pirates of the Caribbean. Oh, and we ate at the quick service place in Disney Quest too and were very pleasantly surprised at how good it was.

We always split up in World of Disney. Hunter stays with one of us and we head off to see what goodies we can find. I hated to hear that you were having a hard time finding Club Penguin but, at least, you were able to find some at Once Upon A Toy.

Do you know that we have never ordered anything at Goofy's Candy Store other than the frozen drinks? I don't know why though? Regarding using the dining plan at Goofy's, did you know that there's an entire thread on the food boards that's maintained solely for the purpose of providing a list of what you can and can not buy using a dining plan snack credit? It's been really helpful to me.

The pictures of the boys checking out their souvenirs was good. They look like they were really enjoying their goodies.

I'm so glad you gave Disney Quest a try! I felt the same way you did at first, but ended up having a great time! Sounds like your roller coaster ride was awesome....way to go Noah! :thumbsup2

Ahh....DTD! What's not to like....food, shopping, Disney...it's the whole package. I finally got to Basin this past trip....but probably only because it was just Jeff and I. I'm not sure I could drag the boys along!

Love the Pirate purchases! pirate:

Hi Missy!!:goodvibes

We had a great time at Disney Quest...especially the roller coaster ride and the Jungle Cruise! I'm so glad that I gave it a chance. I'm actually looking forward to going back and seeing all the things we missed.;)

I really wanted to get to Basin this trip! Hopefully next trip we can make more time for DTD so I can finally check it out!:thumbsup2

Thanks Beth!:goodvibes I can't believe how much I enjoyed Disney Quest! Of course I knew it would be a hit for DH and the boys because they love video games! But...I wasn't so sure about it myself. It ended up being such a great time! Aww...we always have to make a stop at Goofy's. The make your own snacks are so much fun! :thumbsup2

We loved the Jungle Cruise and Pirates too!! Oh and of course the crazy rollercoaster that Noah designed. I think DH got lucky because I guess Nick's coaster was very tame in comparison. We really enjoyed the CS place at Disney Quest. I wish my pictures would have come out.:sad2: It was really nice up there. We liked the big booths and if I remember right....the ceiling was decorated with clouds or something?:confused3

Nick was so sad that he couldn't find his Club Penguin stuff at World of Disney. Which actually surprised me....that store has everything!! We were very glad when he was able to find what he wanted. It made for a much happier night!:thumbsup2

Thanks for the tip on finding what is accepted for snack credits on the food board. It's so funny before our first trip, I visited a lot of the other boards...food, parks, and resorts. Now, I find myself over here all the time, catching up on all the PTR's and the TR's. I guess I need to get back over there. If I remember right? Isn't there a thread over there that just has food pics? Yum...I may have to check that out too!!!:thumbsup2

I love your review of Disney Quest. I've wondered if my boys would enjoy it and it sounds like they definitely would! Glad you had another great day!

Our Souvenirs!!

Hi Everyone!!

I thought since I had a minute I would try and post another update today.;) I was having a hard time trying to figure out where to add our souvenirs..... when it came to me yesterday that since we did most of our shopping on our DTD day that it only seemed right that I posted what we brought home with us after that update...right? So here it goes....

Nick's Club Penguin stuff...

I also picked up a key chain, pot holder and towel at some point during the trip (I'm thinking it was probably at the resort)

Noah got this cute 2010 Mickey.....

He also got some Toy Story Figurines--Now...I really tried to find them in his playroom so I could post a picture but they were everywhere:rolleyes: so here is what I got off the Disney site just so you get an idea what they looked like....

We actually picked these up on the way to the airport in Syracuse just before we left. We didn't get them in Disney but we did get them at the Disney store and they were so cute I had to share!!

I am such a list maker and I figured this notebook would definitely put a smile on face every time I used it!

And last but not least.....when we figured out we didn't have enough room in our suitcases to bring all this stuff home....:rolleyes1

There you have it! All of our souvenirs this trip not counting the ones I posted earlier.:)

Also, I'm not sure if I will be able to get another update posted this week...although I may try this weekend. It's the boys last official week of school. So this week consists of field trips, their track and field day and their awards assembly on Friday. Nick's teacher called me yesterday to tell me he was picked for Super Kid for his class for the year. :yay: It's supposed to be a surprise but Noah found out...hopefully he won't give the secret away.:ssst:

Anyway...I hope everyone has a great day!! :sunny:

You came home with some great souvenirs. I bought two of those bags/duffels too. I couldn't resist with a price tag of a little over $7.00. I also bought one of the grey WDW t-shirts and almost bought the 2010 Christmas ornament. Man, you and I have very similar tastes.

I know that you're busy with the boys' last week of school. We finished up school on May 25th. Hunter was exempt from several tests so he didn't have to go the last couple of days. Have fun on the field trips!

I love love love your Minnie notebook(:
My mom's ordering my family those 'Walt Disney World' shirts today, so we'll have them for our trip- I saw them when we went in April, but we decided to hold off and buy them later online.

Great souvenirs Angie! I love the potholder! :thumbsup2

Congrats to Nick! :woohoo:

Thanks Missy!! I needed a new potholder so I figured what would be better than a Disney one. But... now I can't bring myself to use it because it's so cute and I don't want to ruin it.

Oh and thanks for the congrats to Nick.:goodvibes We're so proud!:thumbsup2

Hi Lisa!:goodvibes

Wow! I guess we do have similar tastes! You really couldn't beat the price of the duffel bag plus it was a great size. We were able to fit a lot of our purchases in it!

Busy, busy week here. Today is the boys track and field but it's supposed to rain.:sad2: Hopefully they can do all the activities in the gym. They would be so disappointed otherwise.

Thanks!:goodvibes I fell in love with the Minnie notebook! It's so cute...I love that the bubbles form a hidden Mickey!:)

Those Walt Disney World shirts were a great price and really cute too! I was going to get one for myself but I have a very similar Mickey one.

Hi! I am back and all caught up again! Loved the Disney Quest and DTD part. We have never been to DQ, been saving it for when the kids are older, but it looks like a place my kids would love! We didn't do DTD last time, but maybe we will have to check it out again next time. Also, I know what you mean about the sibling love moments....aren't they the best? :lovestruc

Angie! I love your updates! DTD and Disney Quest.... :yay: I'm so happy you all enjoyed it! Your pics were cracking me up, especially the boys in the Goofy's mirror. :lmao:

I remember when Ariana and I did the make your own roller coaster thing. She picked spins and loops out but I'm pretty sure I toned it down a bit before riding the darn thing. Then when we were done, my tummy was loudly complaining and I remember weakly turning to her to ask her if she enjoyed it. :rotfl2:

I'm sure I'm forgetting other things I wanted to comment on (Basin! :sad1:) but I can't wait to hear how your day at TL went!

Oh! And congrats to Nick! :goofy: Well done!

Hi!! Thanks!:goodvibes The boys have been begging to go to DQ the last couple trips but I wanted to wait until I thought they were at least old enough to enjoy it.

Oh...I never seem to have enough time in DTD...next trip I would like to be able to devote a whole day there if we could or at least more than a few hours anyway.:rolleyes1

Aww...I just love those sibling love moments!!!:lovestruc They don't come around very often so I enjoy them while I can!:)

Hi Tracy!!:goodvibes

Thanks!!:thumbsup2 We loved Disney Quest and of course had so much fun in DTD! Thanks for the idea of taking a picture of the boys in Goofy's mirror!! When I saw the cute picture of Demetri in the mirror from your TR..I knew I had to get that same shot!;)

Well...I probably should have toned Noah's rollercoaster down.:rolleyes1 I was actually surprised it didn't make me feel  since I'm so prone to motion sickness.:confused3 Hmm...to be honest it was kind of fun....:upsidedow

I know...I was so sad I missed Basin...again!:rolleyes:I think it would be almost impossible to talk my guys into going in with me anyway. Hopefully,I can talk my parent's into coming back with us again on our next trip and I can plan a day of shopping with my mom.:lovestruc

Thanks for the congrats to Nick! The award assembly is tomorrow! I'm so excited.:yay:

All caught up again... I'm glad I got behind because I got to read all of your MK updates together. :thumbsup2 Sounds like the GAD FPs worked out really well for you. The crowds were really working in your favor too!

We've avoided DisneyQuest so far because I thought there were height restrictions that would be too tall for my boys. Did you guys run into much of that? Looks like you accomplished a lot while you were there.

Hi Amy!:goodvibes

We were really happy to have those GAD FP's.:thumbsup2 It was so nice not to have to rush from ride to ride but to actually slow down and just enjoy everything around us this time!

We didn't run into a problem with height restrictions at DQ. The boys were both tall enough to go on anything there. If I remember right only Cyberspace Mountain, and Buzz Lightyear were 51" minimum. They also had an area set up with Skeeball, and lots of classic arcade games that the boys really enjoyed too, especially since it was all unlimited play. I was really surprised how much I enjoyed it. We'll definitely be heading back.:)

Hi!!
Just got back from seeing Toy Story 3 this afternoon in :3dglasses and we loved...loved...loved it!!! It was such a great movie!!:thumbsup2 It puts you on the edge of your seat....one minute you're crying and the next laughing and cheering.:cheer2: We also enjoyed the short in the beginning...so cute!!! Can't wait for it to come out on DVD! We will definitely be adding it to our collection!!

Oh and before I forget.... I'm in the process of getting my next update together. Hopefully, I'll get it posted later tonight or tomorrow morning. I can't wait to share our Typhoon Lagoon day with all of you!!:goodvibes

Glad to hear that Toy Story 3 was such a good movie. We said we were going this weekend but then I had to go to a bridal shower, we had family over and we went to see John's parents. The weekend just passed too quickly.

Looking forward to the update when you get a chance to post it.

Oh I'd forgotten about the Day and Night short! That was pretty cool. :3dglasses I can't wait until it comes out on DVD.
