So Many Characters..So Little Time! Our April Adventure to the World! Complete:)

Oh I totally should have known that song! Ariana listens to it constantly on youtube. It's funny though, once I knew what it was I went back and read it, well actually, sang it again! It's such a catchy tune.

Yay, Typhoon Lagoon! I'm so glad you've enjoyed it so far. I could totally go for a ride on the lazy river right about now. :sunny:

I hope you made it to the wave pool and to Crush 'n Gusher (with fanny lifted! :rotfl:)

Hi Tracy!:goodvibes

It is such a catchy tune isn't it? You can't help but sing along!

Aww...the lazy river was the best!:lovestruc It was so relaxing!

Hey..I was going to ask you if you felt the earthquake today. But I saw on FB that you didn't. We did.:sad2: It wasn't too bad...only lasted a few seconds...dishes rattling and the boys hollering in from the other room...."Hey Mom, why is the room shaking?"

Oh, I love Typhoon Lagoon! Especially the wavepool(:
Love the fairytale story about TL
Great update :thumbsup2

Thanks!:goodvibes We were having such a fun time! Wasn't the fairytale story about Typhoon Lagoon so cute? I knew I just had to share it!:thumbsup2

April 15, 2010--Typhoon Lagoon

When I left off, we had just finished relaxing in the lazy river and we were trying to decide what we wanted to do next. The boys were all for heading toward the wave pool but the planner in me:rolleyes1 thought it might be better to head toward the slides or Crush n Gusher. But at this point, Noah still wasn't sure he wanted to even go on Crush n Gusher so after listening to a lot of "Please...please...let's go in the wave pool." We gave in.

At first we stayed near the shallow end because I had heard the impact from the waves could knock you right over and scrapes were known to occur if you weren't prepared. While we were waiting for our first big wave to hit. I took a picture.....

IMG014-1.jpg

Oh no...here it comes!!! Brace yourself..... (or at least that is what I was thinking to myself!)
IMG012-1.jpg

(I don't know why the coloring is so weird in some of the pictures...disposable cameras.)

I turned around figuring if it was going to take me down than it wouldn't be such a big fall.:thumbsup2 I'm happy to report that all was well and that I stayed on my feet!! The boys went down though...and loved every minute of it!! They decided to play awhile waiting for another wave to hit.
IMG013-1.jpg

We were in the wave pool for a while, when I decided I would go out and sit on the side and relax while DH and the boys stayed to enjoy for a little longer. It was funny because at one point they heard the warning sound and I watched them get all prepared and when it came it was such a small wave and they looked so disappointed. But apparently it was working it's way up to the biggest wave we saw all day. I watched it come and tried to take a picture of them when it hit.

IMG010.jpg

You probably can't see them because the wave came crashing over them, the force so strong it almost knocked over DH too. When the boys came up, they were laughing so hard. Honestly, I think we spent most of our time that day at the wave pool. The boys just couldn't get enough!

After a lot of convincing, we finally talked them into heading toward Crush n Gusher. Noah had finally decided that he was ready to give it a try. It took a while to actually find it....or even some kind of map to point us in the right direction. We stopped along the way so the boys could squirt the unsuspecting passerby’s.
IMG018.jpg

Finally, we spotted a sign leading us to our destination. At the last minute DH decided not to ride after all so it ended up being just the three of us. Soon...we were climbing into one of these.....

Nick was very excited and climbed right in. We were told smallest to biggest which would put Noah in the front. He was already really nervous and I was nervous for him. He had hard time at first climbing in and I thought for sure he was going to change his mind. But being the brave boy that he was this trip....he climbed in and held on tight and away we flew!! Ooohhh....and I even remembered to lift my behind.:rotfl: Poor boys...they forgot though.:sad2: In the end, we rode and survived the Crush n Gusher!! Nick and I loved it!!! It was so much fun! Noah...well...he said it was okay. I think it scared him a little.:guilty: He did say he may ride again, but we'll have to see.

This was DH attempt to get a picture while he was waiting for us...
IMG008.jpg

We let the boys play a bit…
IMG007.jpg

Our rumbling tummies soon told us it was time for some lunch so off we went to find the closest place to eat. I think we ended up at Typhoon Tilly’s and after looking over the menu for a few minutes, we placed our order. I believe DH got the BBQ Pork Sandwich w/ fries and I got the chili dog with fries. We both got a fruit cup for dessert. The boys both decided on pizza but what they loved most was that their lunch came in a sand pail. What a cute idea!!!
As you can tell…they really enjoyed their pizza!
IMG005-1.jpg

IMG006.jpg

After lunch it was almost 2:00pm so we decided that we should probably head back to the resort so we could change and get ready for Hollywood Studios! It would be our first time seeing Fantasmic later on and we were so excited!! But...before we left the boys wanted to do one last thing. You can't just get a sand pail and not use it?
IMG003.jpg

Apparently, when we got back to the hotel there was a little bit of sand left in the bottom of the pail and Nick wanted to keep it. "But Mom...it's Typhoon Lagoon sand. We could bring it home with us. That would be so cool!!!" :rotfl:

So although I was apprehensive about visiting a waterpark….(they are usually not my thing), I really enjoyed it! We all did, in fact so much so that we have planned a visit to another waterpark near us this summer. Can’t wait to relax in the lazy river again….awww….:cloud9:
Up Next— We are heading to Disney Hollywood Studios!! But…would the rain hold out for us?

Hey..I was going to ask you if you felt the earthquake today. But I saw on FB that you didn't. We did.:sad2: It wasn't too bad...only lasted a few seconds...dishes rattling and the boys hollering in from the other room...."Hey Mom, why is the room shaking?"

We've already talked about it today on my PTR, but I'm still shaking my head over George's reaction to it. :sad2: Can't figure out if I should be proud or mad!

How fun are those waves!?! Your pictures look like you're standing in a good spot... you get the push of the wave to make you laugh your head off but not drag you under and struggle. :thumbsup2

We missed the pail lunches... oh darn, gotta go back again. ;)

I'm so glad you all had fun!

 At least he had a reaction to do something. We just stood there in shock....not knowing what to do!:confused3

It's so funny....I didn't think I would like the wave pool but since we stood a good distance back it wasn't bad at all!!:thumbsup2 Of course, when I went to sit down, DH and the boys got braver and moved closer. They loved the waves crashing over them.

The pail lunches were so cute! You know something? Now...that you mentioned it, I forgot to add that before we left the boys played a little in the sand with them....hmm...I'll have to go back and add it in.:thumbsup2

Yay for Noah for braving Crush n Gusher! :thumbsup2

I HATE wave pools. Not just the one at TL, but all of them. I got in long enough to experience one wave and then I was out of there! I hate the feeling of being sucked under. Scares me to death! :scared1:

Your boys didn't want to do the Shark Reef?? If you go again, you should try it. It was great! :thumbsup2

I hope the rain holds out so you can see Fantasmic! ;)

(Oh...and I didn't feel the earthquake either. It was all over FB, but I had no idea until i read about it.)

Sounds like waterparks will be in your future from now on! So glad you all had a great time Angie!! Good job Noah!! What a brave guy! He was so brave! The wave pool looks like a lot of fun and how cool their lunch comes with the bucket!! LOVE the comment about keeping the Typhoon Lagoon sand!! :goodvibes I hope the rain held out for you to enjoy Fantasmic!!!!!

What a great day you guys had! So excited for Noah that he braved the Crush N Gusher. :woohoo: Keeping fingers crossed that the rain will hold off for Fantasmic. :goodvibes

Hi Missy!

So happy that Noah decided to brave Crush n Gusher...not sure he is though.:rolleyes1 I've been showing him some of the water rides we will be going on this summer (mostly just tube rides) and he's still hesitant to try them.

I didn't find the wave pool too bad but that is because we stayed in the shallow end. I wouldn't go closer...I didn't want to be sucked under either.

We had planned to do the Shark Reef. But since we spent so much time at the Wave Pool...we ran out of time.:sad2: We'll definitely have to fit it in next time we go!:thumbsup2

I was wondering if you had felt the earthquake. I heard that it was felt as far over as Buffalo. Hmm....we didn't feel it as bad as my brother and he only lives across town.:confused3

You know...I think they probably will be! We had so much fun at Typhoon Lagoon!:thumbsup2 Noah was so brave this trip...so proud of him!!:lovestruc

Oh I agree! I always get funny looks from people when they travel and I ask for a bit of sand from the beach. :beach: No one ever brings any back.

How fun the lunches come in pails! I love that. The wave pool at TL is definitely a lot of fun. Glad you got to ride Crush n Gusher!

loved the Typhoon Lagoon update! Fun to see now that we've added it to our plans

I love how they have the kid's lunches in the sand pails! So cute :cutie:
The wave pool is so much fun! The waves are HUGE, but it's so much fun. And, I always love when they have the warning noise for the wave, and everyone starts shreeking, getting excited, and start to prepare themselves (:

Too funny!!:rotfl: Aww....maybe we should have brought the sand back....;)

Crush n Gusher was so much fun!! I wish we would have had more time to ride it again!!:thumbsup2 The boys loved the sand pails! Noah actually used his again the other day.:)

loved the Typhoon Lagoon update! Fun to see now that we've added it to our plans

Thanks!!:goodvibes TL was so much fun!! Are you doing both the waterparks? I really need to get back over to your PTR and catch up!!! You don't have much longer!:woohoo:

The waves were huge! They were much bigger than I thought they would be and if you weren't careful they could really knock you over! They boys loved that and the warning noise! It was so funny to watch them get all excited when they heard it!:)

April 15, 2010--Disney Hollywood Studios/ Evening

After the boys finished playing in the sand and we had collected our credit from receiving the wrong size locker. It was time to make our way of Typhoon Lagoon and back to the buses. Have I mentioned how great the buses were this trip…yes I’m sure I have! Anyway by the time we made it down to the Pop Century bus stop, a bus was just pulling up. We climbed inside, sat back and relaxed on our way back to the resort. As we sat, I began to think about the trip and all the fun that we had…..experiencing BTTMR in the dark, watching Tink fly over head, my own personal tour guide on Test Track, watching Illuminations, blasting off on Space Mountain for the first time, finally seeing an afternoon parade, and splashing in the waves at TL. We’d had a wonderful trip and had experienced so many new things but I couldn’t shake the thought that soon it would be over……too soon. Tomorrow was our last day.:sad2:

As we got off the bus and headed to our room to change, I tried to put those thoughts aside. We still had tonight at DHS and tomorrow at Animal Kingdom to look forward to. Besides one of the things I was looking most forward to this trip was seeing Fantasmic. So far the rain had held off but as we were pulling into DHS, and making our way over to Will Call to get our GAD fastpasses, the sky began to grow very dark. I tried not to think about it and hoped for the best, thankful that there was absolutely no one in line so it wasn’t long before we had made it inside and we were seeing this…….
100_3045.jpg

I just had to take a picture of Pluto way up on the building!!
100_3046.jpg

Look at those dark clouds!!
100_3047.jpg

I began to search for a photopass photographer. We finally spotted one….but had to stand and wait for a few minutes before he could take our picture—
100_3467-1.jpg

( from our calendar)
Of course, I had to stop and take a few more pictures of the hat.....
100_3048.jpg

100_3049.jpg

100_3050-1.jpg

At this point, it was just starting to sprinkle…ugh! I took a picture on our way over to our destination….
100_3052.jpg

Hopefully, I will make it in there someday……
So….you may be wondering where our first stop was going to be???
Although..I'm sure you already had guesses from the title!! Toy Story Mania!!
100_3053.jpg

This is how the boys felt about it—
100_3054.jpg

100_3055-1.jpg

They were very excited!! But…honestly I’m not sure what was going on with the whole tilt our head and smile thing this trip…silly boys!
100_3056.jpg

Love those monkeys!

We started to make our way over to get our fastpasses when we realized they had roped it off. Oh no! All the fastpasses were gone for the day! Of course I had expected this…it was after 4:00 in the afternoon but I thought they would have at least one open for the GAD fastpasses. No worries…DH ended up tracking a CM down to open the rope for us while we got the fastpasses. We figured while we were there we would get enough to ride twice. So with FP in hand, we began to make our way inside….
100_3057.jpg

100_3059.jpg

Peter Pan!! Isn’t this so cute?
100_3060.jpg

100_3061.jpg

We missed Mr. Potato Head again. But..very glad we didn't have to wait in the 120 minute stand by line! We’ll catch him next time!(in the morning hours...when hopefully the wait won't be as long!!) Soon, we were climbing the stairs and seeing this-
100_3064.jpg

And this…..
100_3066.jpg

The boys were ready to ride!!
100_3068.jpg

100_3070.jpg

We had decided beforehand that Nick would ride with me and Noah with DH. Nick and I are very competitive with each other. There have been many nights that the two of us have battled it out on Toy Story Mania for Wii and usually he would win. So, I was determined to beat him! Glasses were on…shooters were ready and as we rounded the corner we took aim. Balloons popped, we threw rings, and we broke some plates. Every now and then I would glance at his score. It was close…very close. We entered Woody's Rootin' Tootin' Shootin' Gallery to rack up some last minute points and that's where he began to pull ahead and he beat me!!! Like I knew he would. Aww… I’ll get him next time! He was laughing all the way out and even when we turned around and decided to use our GAD fastpasses and go right back in again.
100_3071.jpg

I was able to get a picture of Candy Land this time around!!

They took us in a different area this time…which was really cool….you can see it from one of my earlier pictures of when we were walking upstairs.

100_3065.jpg

We decided to switch and Noah would be with me. He was so cute! “I’m going to beat you Mommy, just like Nick did!” Um…thanks for the support…buddy. He did great but I beat his score just by a little bit. He wasn’t happy. I told him that I must have just gotten lucky and I was sure he would get me next time.:thumbsup2 That seemed to work and he was back to his happy self again. Of course, Nick beat my score again…he’s just too good!!

After Toy Story Mania, we decided to head over to the Animation building. We had some characters we couldn't wait to meet! Seriously, I think I was more excited than the boys because I fell in love with this movie. Can you guess who we were going to find?

Up Next—I can finally explain the title to my TR!! (It almost took the whole report to get to it!!)

Great bus service! I actually have never had complaints about the Disney buses. The fact that they can move SO many people so efficiently is just incredible. If I wait for a bus now and then, I can deal! ;)

I hate the thought that the vacation is ending soon. Once you get that in your head, it's tough to shake. Good for you for trying to put it aside and enjoy the evening!

TSM is SO fun! I compete with my boys on our Wii game too! It always makes me miss the parks though! Yay for going on twice in a row! :cool1:

I still need to get to One Man's Dream as well. Someday! :rolleyes1

I wish we could have met the UP characters....can't wait to hear about your meet and greet! :thumbsup2

Gracious! I've got a lot to post about and I'm sure I'll forget something I wanted to say.

I am soooo very happy that you guys liked Typhoon Lagoon. I told you I'm not a water park person either but Typhoon Lagoon was the best! I remember being on the lazy river and getting away from my family too. I'd be with them one minute and the next, they'd be way behind me. :confused3

Wave pools.....you either love 'em or hate 'em. I'm a hater so I don't blame you for finding a nice spot to sit and just watch. It sounds like your boys really enjoyed themselves in the wave pool though.

Yea for riding Crush n Gusher! Wasn't it fun?!?! And, you remembered to pick up your booty!

The picture of the boys with their pizza faces was cute. I'm always telling Hunter that he wears his meal on his face. Boys! ;)

I didn't remember that you hadn't seen Fantasmic before. After seeing those dark clouds, I'm beginning to wonder if you got to see it this trip. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that you did.

Glad to hear that you were able to get the GAD fastpasses even though the Fastpass machines were shut down for the day. It's great that ya'll got to ride Toy Story Mania not just once but two times in a row!
