So Many Characters..So Little Time! Our April Adventure to the World! Complete:)

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the calendar idea Angie!! What a great "souvenir" too!! I looked at the Mickey shirt you are wearing a half a dozen times and then forgot to go back and get it!! It looks really cute!!!:goodvibes:goodvibes

Don't worry about the pics, I was nuts and bought our Donald's Safari picture set at breakfast and after I bought it I noticed my hair is sticking out at the top....Oh well, everyone else looked good so I guess I have to just let it roll :rotfl: Can't wait to see which direction you went!!!!

Your morning MK pics are really great! Hmmm...you did a good job hiding the lady in the pink shirt on your calendar. I couldn't see her! :thumbsup2

Thanks!!:goodvibes We love the opening show at MK!!

:laughing: It took a lot of cropping to remove that lady in the pink shirt from our picture. I still can't believe the photopass photographer took the picture when she was standing so close to us.:rolleyes:

Hi Beth!:goodvibes

Thanks!! I'm so happy with my calendar!:) The best part is when the year is all over I can just cut out the pages and add them to our Disney scrapbook!!:thumbsup2

It's so funny...I'm not sure what happened with our pictures this year. If one of the boys weren't squinting than the other had their eyes closed.:rotfl:

Can't wait for the next update Angie!!!:rolleyes1 Hope everything's going good with you! :flower3:

Hi Keala!!:goodvibes

I hope to have an another update posted very soon.;)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hi Everyone!!:wave:
I know....I've been neglecting my TR.:blush: I promise to have my next update posted very soon.:flower3: It was a busy, busy weekend and I'm still trying to get things back to normal around here. Unfortunately, that has meant very little Dis time.:sad2: Hopefully, I can get caught up on all my subscribed threads as well.:goodvibes
Hi again!!:goodvibes I wasn't sure if I would be able to get another update posted today but I have managed to squeeze in a little time between the :laundy: I still need to do:rolleyes: and the grocery shopping that has been pushed off for 2 days.:rolleyes1 Besides I'm ready for a break after such a busy weekend that included setting up the pool (after a few 90 degrees day last week the boys were getting pretty anxious to get it up!),planting our garden (which we always do Memorial weekend...can't wait for those fresh tomatoes!!) having a picnic, and yesterday when we should have been relaxing and catching up from the weekend we took a day trip...shopping!! We picked up some new beach towels, and pool toys for the boys. We also went to the bookstore yesterday and got the new Kingdom Keepers III book! YAY! The boys also helped my parent's pick out a tent. The plan this summer is to do some tent camping in Lake George, NY. We're very excited about that!
Oh and I almost forgot...we saw the new Shrek movie at the drive-in. We haven't been to the drive-in, in so many years. Which was evident because DH forgot to keep starting the car occasionally and our battery died.:rolleyes:Despite all that drama, we enjoyed the movie. It was cute! Although, I still think I'm partial to the second one.:confused3 Overall, a very fun but crazy weekend.
So anyway....let's finally get on with the update!
April 14, 2010--Our Magic Kingdom day continued.......
When I left off we had just made it to the Magic Kingdom, saw the opening show, and made our way down Main Street toward the castle. We stopped for a few pics including a couple photopass pics with a nice lady in a pink shirt. We stood at the hub and looked left and then right.....but which way did we go?
Hmm......
We turned right and headed for Tomorrowland!!
A few more random pictures on our way to our destination...
100_2937-1.jpg
So...what was our destination?
100_2938.jpg
Space Mountain...of course!
I had asked the boys while waiting for the opening show to start which ride they wanted to ride first because to be honest it was up in the air at that point. We didn't know how much we would get accomplished on our MK night or if we were even going to be able to go all. Since we had already rode BTMRR the first night, they were both were very excited to try Space Mountain for the very first time!
As we walked inside, I quickly tucked my camera away so I wouldn't forget to later on. The ride was a walk-on so very quickly we moved to the front of the line. I have to admit I was a little nervous about the ride. Although, I love rollercoasters. I had heard a lot of mixed reviews about this ride including how scary it is, how fast it went, and how jerky it was. But..I put on a brave face for the boys and kept pointing out things all around so they wouldn't be nervous. As we climbed in our rockets, I looked back to check the boys and told them to hold on tight and.....away....we....went!! It was so fun....but so dark! We went up this way, around this way, down the hill. Wow! The boys LOVED every second of the ride! I liked it too but I will admit...looking back now it made me so nervous wondering about the boys sitting by themselves. I guess I should have sat behind them...instead of in front of them so I could have enjoyed the ride more. Here I was worrying that it was too fast for them and they were having such great time! LOL
After Space Mountain, we thought we would head over to Toontown. Even though it wasn't ten o'clock yet, I had remembered from last August we were able to head over around 9:30 or so. As we got closer we noticed that there was a lot of people waiting. I guess they weren't letting anyone in early today after all. Sadly, we never made it back to Toontown this trip either. Which makes me really sad because the next time we go back, it will probably be gone.:sad2:
Since Toontown wasn't opened yet. We decided to stop for Mad Tea Party. The boys love this ride! Dh and I...not so much.:sick: One of us usually bows out to take pictures but we both decided to step into line after seeing this......
It's Alice!! Can you see her spinning? Apparently, we were so excited to see her that we just jumped into line and decided to go with it. After realizing we couldn't all squeeze in together. We separated... DH w/ Noah and Nick and I rode together. I snapped a few pictures before I started getting too dizzy....lol!
Boy, Nick can spin that teacup! We were laughing so hard that I almost forgot that the ride makes me feel like this :sick:. I quickly remembered once I stepped off the ride though.... Luckily, I recovered quickly. Nick kept asking me why I didn't help him spin it faster? UGH...faster? Are you kidding?:laughing:
After Mad Tea Party, we made our way back into Fantasyland. We waved Hi to The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh on the way by.
We didn't stop because we had rode it the first night. Again, we passed by Snow White's Scary Adventures. I'll make it there yet!! I snapped a quick picture in front of Dumbo.
We would have stopped to ride but the line was already pretty long and we had another destination in mind.
Another picture of the Carousel on the way by....
Mickey's Philharmagic!! Love this show....but it will have to wait until later. Look how empty Fantasyland looks!!
100_2945.jpg
We made it!!
Peter Pan's Flight!!:lovestruc Ahh...we love this ride! It's such a classic plus Peter Pan is one of our all time favorite movies so that might have something to do with it!!! It feels like you are in the middle of the movie as you fly over London and then into Neverland where you see the Lost Boys, and Mermaid Lagoon! Such a great ride!!
It had just barely turned ten o'clock. I had thought we had gotten a lot done so far. But, we still had the whole day ahead of us..plus we hadn't even used our GAD fastpasses yet!!
Where did we head next? Stay tuned......
What a great first hour! I can't believe how empty the park looks. I'm sure it doesn't stay that way!
hey angie! Great update! so glad the boys loved Space Mountain...I have to agree, I don't like the fact that I have to sit alone...I would rather sit with my BF than in front of him but oh wel!! What a great thing to see Alice riding the Tea Cups! So cool...that would definitely make me want to ride it too!! Yay for Peter Pan's Flight. We loved that ride also!! We thought it was soooo cool! Can't wait for the next update!
The park was so empty that morning...it was great!!! As you know, we love getting to the park early. You really can get so much more done!:thumbsup2
Hey Keala! Oh..the boys loved Space Mountain! It's all they talked about that whole morning! :laughing:I really wish you didn't have to sit alone though...I think if it hadn't been our first time riding it, I wouldn't have been so worried for them. Next time...I can relax knowing how much they loved it and can finally enjoy it too!!:thumbsup2
Great update Angie!
I love love love all your pics(: lol
Aww...thanks!!:goodvibes
Hi, I have been enjoying your TR and have been cracking up at how similiar our trips and pix were/are! We went a couple weeks after you. We stayed at Pop in 2008 and loved it. I have never made it for rope drop at MK, now I want to (after reading your TR and seeing the pics)! Thanks for sharing!
Yeah! So happy the boys liked Space Mountain Angie!! I am sorry you missed out on Toontown, we only went to see the Princesses and didn't go through Mic and Min's houses like I would have liked too, it didn't dawn on me while there that it would be our last chance! Nick sure looks like he had fun spinning you two around!!! The smile on his face says it all!! Cool that Alice was riding too!!! Can't wait to see what you saw next!!!!!!!
Oh I know what you mean about being sad about passing on the CD but not being able to justify the $$! I hope I can do a preorder.
I love the Disney calendar! It's a great one to have, I made one last year and it's at the office, I smile when I see it!
Funny about the cropping though. You guys crack me up....7am is sleeping in. No teens in your house
:rotfl:
Hi!Thanks for joining in!!:goodvibes We love staying at Pop! It's so much fun especially for the kids. Oh..you definitely need to try to make it to rope drop at MK! It's a great show!:thumbsup2
Okay...now I'm off to check out your TR!;)
Me too!!! I was so worried that they would think SM was too fast or scary but they loved it!:thumbsup2
This was the first trip that we skipped Toontown and it probably wouldn't have mattered since we have toured Mickey and Minnie's house before but the boys really wanted to ride Goofy's Barnstormer one last time...oh well.
Wow Nick can really spin those Teacups! Although it's not my favorite ride...just knowing that he was having so much fun made me happy!:goodvibes
Hey!:goodvibes I know...I just couldn't justify the money for the amount of pics we had taken. I really wish the pre-order had been released before we left instead of the week we were gone.:sad2: I probably would have made more of an effort to get lots more pictures taken.
It's so nice to look up while I'm working and see our Disney calendar. The pictures would have probably been stuck in an album or scrapbook. This way I can enjoy it everyday!
:laughing: I guess we should enjoy getting to the park early now...huh? I'm sure it won't be like that in a few years!
I love the pics - I feel like I am literally standing right there looking at what you were! Oh, I miss Disney! (love how empty everything was looking that morning, that way you can soak more of it in! :goodvibes )
Im lovin this trip report so far! The pix are great, and
ur trip sounds so layed back and fun! :goodvibes
Cant wait to read more!:thumbsup2
Great update! So glad the boys liked Space Mountain. It is a classic. :thumbsup2
That is funny you saw Alice on the teacups because we saw her on there with a little girl too! She must do that every morning.
I just bought the new Kingdom Keepers book too. When I met Rachel she mentioned something about the books so I got the first 2 (actually just finished #2 this morning!). They are pretty entertaining!
Thanks!!:goodvibes It was so quiet that morning!! It was much less crowded than we thought it would be for the week after Easter!
Aww....I really miss Disney too!
Hi there!! Thanks so much for joining in!!!:goodvibes It was such a great trip! I'm having so much fun writing about it!:thumbsup2
Hi Sarah!:goodvibes
You saw Alice too! Hehe that is funny! I guess she must do it every day! We were kind of hoping the Queen of Hearts would be around...but we didn't see her.:sad2:
I haven't started the 3rd Kingdom Keepers book yet. But, I really enjoyed the other two. I'm assuming he will write one more so that all four parks are covered...or at least I hope he does!
Oh I HAVE to go get that new Kingdom Keepers book. We saw the new Shrek too but how fun to see it at a drive thru! Shopping! :banana:
Are they doing anything on that stage setup anymore since cancelling Stitch? It seems like such a big empty space... shade and seating are in order there!
I can't wait to ride Space Mountain again... it feels like forever since we were last on it. So glad the boys loved it!
Alice! I'm not a teacup fan but I'd ride with Alice!
Peter Pan's Flight :cloud9: Love the pixie dust effect on it too. :goodvibes:
I'm a little sad for Toontown closing too :sad1:
