So just how much "stuff" do you save?

I figure if we fall on hard times we will be able to go a month or more before we have to start burning the funiture to keep warm!!

I save a lot of stuff too...napkins, those plastic dolphins in the kids drinks at Coral Reef, Mickey coasters, etc... Recently I went through my stuff and did manage to throw out some things-mainly duplicate maps and schedules. I love my Disney World trash!!

The only thing I save is Room Keys. I use them as bookmarks!

I completely clean out my house at least twice a year. I go through every cupboard, closet, etc... I give everything a number (on a scale of 1 to 10). If the item doesn't rate at least a 7, then out it goes. I can count on one hand the number of items over the past 20 years that I wish I hadn't thrown out. It's truly amazing how much "stuff" you will never even miss if you throw it out or donate to charity.

If figure if I don't keep a bunch of junk, then I don't have to clean it! Guess I'm just lazy, so it's easier to get rid of the stuff than have to take care of it!

Now my kids on the other hand tend to be pack rats.

I don't purposely keep all of the things, but somehow the disney stuff gets stashed in folders or boxes or drawers. However, as I find it I tend to toss it out (even the room keys). However, DP has every WDW ticket he's gotten in his wallet.

I do need to go thru closets, cupboards, drawers, and the many many boxes up in the attic (and out in the garage) and start tossing things. When I got home to my mom's house (as she's trying to clean out all the "kids" stuff) I see things that I left there and she tells me to take home. I usually tell her to just toss it (old stuffed animals, etc). But, in one of the boxes she recently sent home with me I found some old Columbia Harbour House cups. I think it's a series of cups and I have 3 of 4... so not sure why I kept them, but I did. They'll likely end up in the trash (or in the donation box).

I have the room keys, maps, receipts etc from our trips but I also have my hard cover loose leaf DVC binder from our first purchase in 1998. I just can't lt go of it.
