since we were last at DL.

staying offsite, will be using the Salute to Heroes tickets. 2 days set aside.. one for each park. no Dining Plan.

big question: best TS for 2 middle aged adults? we have done the Italian place at CA as an anniversary dinner once( loved it) and done the one inside PoC. loved it too. would LIKE to change it up and do something different. we don't do Character meals, and are less enamored of buffets in general. will NOT do Rainforest Cafe Downtown.

Lunch or dinner, we are flexible. we will have breakfast covered at the hotel. prefer upscale with a more adult atmosphere overall.

oh and is there still wine tasting in CA?

trip is scheduled for week of 7 June. assuming Leave is approved.

Hi! Is there any reason that you are only setting aside two days for the parks? The military tickets are three day park-hoppers. Also, I wouldn't limit yourself to one park per day, since Disneyland has significantly more to do (in my opinion) than California Adventure. By walking back and forth between the two parks, you can accomplish much, much more.

Have you ever eaten at Cafe Orleans in Disneyland? That's a big hit around here. Also, if you say you prefer upscale, I'd highly recommend Napa Rose in the Grand Californian.

we don't PH as I am in a wheel chair. and I can't do a 12 hour plus day either..I am usually done for the day by 4 if we get there at opening.

the rest of the trip is set aside for San Diego. never thought about a resort restaurant, will have to look them up...

We have gone to Steakhouse 55 (used to be Granville's) many times for our one adult night away from the kiddo while on vacation. It is in the Disneyland Hotel. We love the atmosphere and the amazing food and service we receive (it seems a notch above the regular excellent service at DLR). We also like the Blue Bayou - again for the atmosphere, service and food. Blue Bayou does both lunch and dinner. We have only been to Steakhouse 55 for dinner, so not sure about lunch.

Gotcha. You say you haven't been there in a decade - have you been since California Adventure opened? If not, you might be surprised at how close the two parks are. It's almost no different than traveling from one "land" to another in Disneyland. I'm certainly not pushing the issue, just pointing that out in case you hadn't been since DCA opened.

yeap been there( one of my favorites in fact is CA) and know exactly how close the two are.

and DTD is near by as well so would not mind checking out something there too.

I just know things change in ten years and was wondering about new and exciting dining opportunities.

If you liked WCT(the italian place in DCA) I'd try Naples in DTD.
