So, is there a platinum CC check in line at the terminal?

And if so, where is it?

We just went thru the regular CC line on our December cruise, which was just as efficient as always, but I thought I read somewhere that there is actually a check in area for platinum guests? This would be out of Port Canaveral.

Thanks!
Tracey

Yes. After you get to the top of the escalator, it's all the way in the back right hand side of the terminal:

Just be aware, sometimes the "regular" line is shorter (quicker).

Thank you PrincessShmoo! You always have the best pictures :)
I always go to the left side of the terminal off the escalators, so I totally missed this.

Well, the left side it pretty much all check in counter. The Concierge/Platinum check in location is sort of in a room by itself, not readily visible while standing in the terminal.

It definitely is something I never noticed... but I will still see how the regular lines are and go from there. It is not a very long wait typically, I really like that there is no PAT to choose anymore so we get there as we have always done and soak in the atmosphere while we wait. :)

It looks like from the banner at the bottom of your post you'll be able to find out firsthand this Saturday.

Sometimes, I suspect @PrincessShmoo is not a single person. It's impossible to have all answers to all questions at all times. It's likewise impossible to have photos to substantiate every single one of those answers at your fingertips.

Shmoo is, like, eight different people cruising at various times, pooling their knowledge and photos into one all-seeing, all-knowing fictional persona.

I did not know that you could go back there I thought it was just Concierge. Last time I went to the Castaway member line and got boarding #1 and waited with the masses. We go on the Dream in a few weeks will try this one out...lol

Also, if you have kids with you and pre registered for the kids club you can get their bands at this check in line. No need to go back out to the line with the counselors!

:wave2: Nope. Just one me.

I grew up with a camera in my hand (thanks to my parents who documented everything they ever did). And once cameras went digital (where I can just delete the ones that don't take well) I just take pictures. You never know what someone will want to see.

I like to be helpful, so, usually, my first mission on embarkation day is to go around taking pictures of "everything".

I don't have the answers to all the questions, but I do have pictures of many things. :teeth:

I take pictures of everything too....but I definitely don't have the extensive and awesome photos you do. :) And I love that I can delete the ones that are not that great. I tend to take multiple photos of the ship loading process and of the security to get into the gates on embarkation day from my verandah. The dogs are so fun to watch.

Same here...I checked in and got our boarding group 1 and then waited in the huge line to board as always. Which is fine because I got to talk to lots of people while waiting who were also in BG 1.

Thank you for the tip...my kids are 14 and 15 now so we don't register them anywhere. :) But that is really good to know for folks with younger travelers.

Unless you are Concierge - you will still wait with us unwashed masses. The "lounge" is just for them, but the check in line is for those of us who are Platinum at well.
Anyone know if there is a platinum check in line or lounge in San Juan? Thanks.
ALL embarkation ports will have the Concierge + Platinum check in lines that are separate from the Silver, Gold and first timers.

That's what I thought. There has always been a group of Platinums boarding through the regular doors even if they check in with a different line.

There is seating in the area with the desk. Platinum cruisers can wait there.

We still board through the regular doors but can wait in the less crowded seating area.

I like the "unwashed masses" :) and really enjoy talking to folks who are all waiting with excitement to board for the fun!

The only issue I have - the hordes of people blocking access to the boarding line once boarding begins "just waiting for their number to be called". If you are holding #1 and need to get through, you get a lot of stink eye from people wanting to be getting on NOW! and not really wanting to let you through.
