So is chef mickey worth the price ?

We went for the breakfast in July, and even though we were on the DDP we paid for this one OOP. We thought it was more than worth the price. We loved the food. Excellent selection, from fruits and pastries to lox and bagels to hot delicious foods like eggs, omelette, breakfast pizza, and delicious desserts too!

For us this was mostly worth it for the character experience for the kids. It is so HOT in July at WDW and we decided that rather than wait in line to meet Mickey in all the crowds and the heat, we would sit down to a breakfast and allow him and all the others to come to us! This is why we did several character meals. We spent our time in the parks enjoying the rides and attractions instead of waiting in long hot lines to meet characters. I never thought we would get to see and do everything on our list in each park with a 3-year-old and a 14-month-old, but we sure did!! The character meals helped with this.

Go and enjoy it! Next time we are going to try it for dinner. Definitely a must for us on every trip now, unless our kids ever outgrow Mickey which I doubt! Hey, I'm 31 and still have not outgrown Mickey Mouse!!

We have booked chef mickey for 12/5 for our trip down to disney from 11/28-12/7. This is something differant for us and just wondering if it is worth it?

It is really going to depend on your personal experiance. For the food served it is overpriced but you are also paying for the overall experiance. So if your traveling party enjoys the experiance then it will be worth the expense. But, you will not really know if the expense is worth it for your traveling party until you have experianced it.

We have eaten at Chef Mickey's for dinner and certainly felt it was worth the $$. This time we are trying breakfast and are anxious to see if it stands up to dinner.

If you go knowing not to expect gourmet food and understand it is the atmosphere and character interaction that you are really paying for it is great. The food isn't the best- but very edible. The faces of my children seeing the characters and interacting with them......priceless. We do breakfast every trip. It is our first meal of the trip to get us excited-we then head right to the MK!:thumbsup2

I agree w/ a PP that it really is a hit or miss place! We've had good food and bad food, but the atmosphere was great each time!! However, my family will wait for a table in the main room to open up instead of sitting in the side rooms. Choosing where to eat at WDW is very difficult at times. Ya know, if I eat bad food I would want to eat bad food w/ Mickey and the Gang :)

We are here now and ate there last night. I have to say I was very disappointed. The characters were good, not great and the food was just o.k. I also nheard a lady on the bus this a.m. and she said she was disappointed too. Maybe just an off night but I don't think we would do this one again. We did really enjoy Crystal Palace.
